I reflected today as I drove away from our clinic and went over all of my interactions with each patient . I thought to myself how vast the difference is between each person's struggle toward wellness. And, what a journey it is for everyone.

There was a brand new patient holding on to each new piece of information, an ongoing patient who has really turned a corner with a combination that is a stretch of my own understanding, and a very old patient who came back because she realized that she had not been caring for herself well and was headed back towards illness.

There were emails in search of comfort, and voices on the other end of a line from far away connecting two people with a mutual desire --to ease pain and restore well-being.
