How does SIBO relate to the theories that we apply to our patients in the treatment of IC and their other related chronic inflammatory disorders? Please refer to chapter three in my dissertation where I discuss this fully. I refer to it as lowgrade microbial translocation, which, is a more comprehensive discussion on exactly what I think is happening as the result of the SIBO effecting the lymphatic system and the rest of the organs and tissues in the body. I believe this is the driving for behind IC and all other chronic inflammaotry disorders. We have patients testing for SIBO-but, the condition of "SIBO" is a given in anyone who walks into our office with IC.
