Are there signs that indicate we should be taken of SF?

Hi,  When any of you have been taken of SF, were there signs/symptoms which indicated the time had come to stop taking it.  I understand, the idea that if you aren't tolerating the stuff it would be reduced or removed but if you were tolerating it, how did Dr. Brizman know it was time to stop it?  Or put another way, is there a way to tell if yeast has balanced out in your system?  Thanks.

Great question

Boaz just took me off SF actually. My issues with it were anxiety (pretty major), sinus congestion, and headaches. The funny thing is, it didn't seem to affect my bladder/vv symptoms as drastically as it did the other things. I was kinda wigging out on it, so we figured it wasn't the right time yet.

Thanks for the update Kgicama.  I' sorry that you were suffering headaches and anxiety due to the sf.  I hope you are doing better.

I had to stop SF because of anxiety as well. We are working on building my body a little bit stronger before we tackle it again. Really bummed I had trouble. Was progressing so well. Hoping the next attempt will go better because while I was on it I saw improvement even through the die-off. Held me back from list 3 too and you all know what a big deal that is? :) jk wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and hope we ALL have better health in 2015!!!

Dr. M just started me on 1 cap yesterday and usually only do drops and now vomiting, feel so nauseous and dizzy, skin burns almost looks like I have the chicken pox, but they hurt not itch, more like welts I guess, and my joints are killing me! I am trying to push through until I hear if this is a good or bad thing. Gosh, I feel like I have been run over buy a truck several times and been stung by bees! :(

Hmm. I wish I knew when I was done. If not bothering you, I guess she will go by classic candida sx (white tongue, etc...) I was on and off it through the first year and a half. Now I have been on it 8 months. I don't really think we need it for much longer. I think I need more bacteria cleared now so hope I am off it soon.

Hi Mimi, How do you know that you need bacteria cleaned out?  I'm unclear on the symptoms of bacteria overgrowth vs. yeast. What are the supplements that work on bacteria?  After being on SF for 8 months, do you notice it in your system?  I have been on it for 4 months and I feel that my body is under seige a bit (nothing I can't handle) but I'm wondering if this is because I am still having die off.  Thanks for all the information you have supplied on this site!

It was 4&1/2 years before I was put on sf.  I've been on it for 3 months now, 8 caps a day with no buffer now.  I take my other herbs an hour later.  Dr m says this is a huge step forward for me.  I don't get rashes or anxiety, just a bit of a stiff neck.  I've never had much in the way I'd die off symptoms.  Normally Dr m only removes things if I'm struggling.  I guess it was 4&1/2 years before she thought I was ready for SF?

I don't really know if it is great or not! I have had a million protocol changes and I don't know if we are right in assuming that more is better. My bladder has been horrible lately so who knows?

Hi Deir,  How long did it take for you to go from 3 drops to 16 a day?  Other than your bladder, is it giving you any grief?  Thanks for all your inspiration and good vibes you provide to this site!

I know I have bacterial issues because I have carbohydrate malabsorbtion (carbs give me gas and bloating and burping and undegested food in my stools and also this leads to a tendency towards constipation, which is ironic because I can't use fiber to move my stools because I have SIBO and fiber feeds SIBO.). So, bad cycle. The #1 thing that causes the bloating that I had for two years, is carbohydrates (most, but not all), fiber, and resistant starch (some types of potatoes and any potatoes or rice that have been cooled) Also, i have ocular rosacea and blepharitis ( a form of rosecea that effects the eyes.) These are both linked to bacterial issues, not yeast. LIkely that the yeast create biofilms and maybe some bacteria piggy back in there, and SF is a biofilm disruptor, so that is good. It is hard to treat yeast and bacteria because the dietary considerations are a little different in my opinion and the symptoms very much overlap. I have a few yeast symptoms, but most of those have resolved. I hope I am done with SF soon!

As for the supps that work on bacteria, I think they are oil of oregano, forumula 49, GML and EAR, but I am not totally sure. Right now I am on 49.
