difficulty sitting.

Hi guys

Sorry for posting so much over the last few days but I'm still waiting for my appointment so I have a lot of questions. At the moment my perineum is very painful when sitting. Originally I had pelvic floor physio which helped with this. However, this isn't working at the moment as my IC has worsened considerably. The pain from my perineum now spreads into my legs and back when I sit for more than a few minutes. My physio says it's not the pudendal nerve as the pain is received by squatting. I feel like the perineum might be a yeast/inflammation problem as it used to come on after eating but now it's all the time And I'm very worried about being unable to sit. Anyone else have anything similar? Could the Brizman help you?

Hi Kara,

I've never had this - but I have read of several patients on here with your same questions.  I do know that they got better - you will too.  Please ask as much or as often as you would like.  That's what we're all hear for.

Take Care,

Denise

Thanks Denise, its good to have others to talk to who know what it's like. I'm glad it's not pudendal neuralgia but my symptoms are worsening daily. I'm just hoping I can get on a plane. I'm still waiting for a reply to my new patient form and I know they are very busy but I just hope the waiting list isn't too long as im on morphine at the moment and I need it to get to the USA but iknow ill need to stop it on my return in order to heal.

Hi Katie,

I'm so sorry that you're in so much pain.  I do love the people who make up ICAMA - HOWEVER - I know they can be slow to respond - You might be very vocal about bugging them.

Keep in touch - Denise

It's nice to hear encouragement! I know it won't be quick but that's better than it never happening, which seems to be the other option! I got better before using natural method's but they won't work now as I react to all of them.

Hi Katie,
I was in a lot of pain sitting when I first saw Dr.B. I had about a 3 1/2 hour drive one way which sure scared me even thinking about it. But my dear friend drove me there, and I sat on a pillow the whole way. It was a bit more difficult on the way home but after seeing Dr.B I was filled with such hope. She was such an answer to prayer. My IC had been getting worse and worse, plus I had horrible inflammation in my bowels with numerous other health issues going on in my body. I have been with Dr. B 3 1/2 years now and I am most days completely symptom free. Keep asking questions. ..you will learn so much from all these dear ladies. I read and read this forum from past patients and learned so much. Sending you lots of love and prayers that you will get the help you need here.

I can't remember how long it took to improve, but I am pretty sure it was within the first few months.
