Hi everyone- I am always afraid to try any new shampoos/face creams or anything. But it would be nice to just be able to pick somehitng up at Whole Foods rather than wait for Bomamed delivery all the time. Can you tell me if anyof you use any other brands of these items? TIA

Unfortunately I cannot use Bomamed shampoo etc because it caused a flare, but I do use Aveda shampoo and conditioner with no problems I also use Origins face cream.

What aveda shampoo do you use that you don't flare from? I loved Aveda before IC but stopped using the shampoo because of the strong scent.

I've only used the bomamed stuff but would love to know what everyone else uses.

I have tried several adveda shampoos without any problem. I have been in treatment for 16 mths and I still flare badly when I come into contact when someone where's a certain perfume. Just today someone was with me who had a strong perfume and now I am burning this evening and also with lots of lower back pain. I wander if this will ever go further into treatment.

Sparkle do you mind me asking if you are 16 months with Matia or Boaz?   I treat with Boaz and was just curious who else he is treating and how your progress has been.

I am in treatment with Boaz, unfortunately I have other issues along with IC such as Ulcerative Colitis and Underactive thyroid. I am still on list one and only eating avocados and spinach from the other lists.  I recently tried chamolie tea but along with other foods I have tried from list 2 or 3 my body would be sent into a flare either with my IC or UC so Boaz has asked me to be patient and stay on list one for the moment. I have come a long way with my energy though, once almost completely bedridden I am able to do so much more apart from returning to work as I still have not been able to put all my weight back on  since my hysterectomy two years ago when the IC kicked off, until then life was good for me I managed my UC and thyroid but I realise now since being in treatment that my diet was not as healthy as I first thought.  My family and friends feel  I have come along way in treatment, and until very recently I had months without thinking about my bladder, but it seems to have returned and this maybe because I have inflammation in my bowell at the moment which has caused bleeding so I will be having a colonoscopy in the New Year.  My anxiety levels use to be through the roof but since treatment I am a lot calmer. I know I cannot do this without the help of Boaz.

I wash my hair with baking soda and water and use a sulfate, paraben free conditioner called Simply U. My hair has never looked better.
