Washing Dishes

I'm wondering if this happens to anyone else. A lot of times, when I wash dishes, it increases my bladder urgency. I'm assuming this has something to do with the slightly bent over posture, that maybe it's a funny position for my sacrum (I have sacral alignment issues) and causes my abdominal muscles to tighten up, thus setting off the urgency. I wouldn't imagine that the bladder irritation would kick off so quickly if it was from something like the soap. Any thoughts?

Could it be the dish soap you are using irritating your bladder? Or perhaps the warm water (like stick a sleeping person's hand in warm water and they pee on themself)?

Hmm, maybe I should try using gloves and see what happens. It just seems that if it's a skin contact thing, it would take at least 30 mins to an hour to actually get into my system and affect my bladder. The urge literally starts while I'm still washing the dishes. Will have to experiment with this. Thanks, guys!

Maybe it's the sound of the running water. I have this when I am under the shower. It increases my urgency instantly but goes away afterwards. But maybe it is really the soap.

Matia told me when I first met with her to use gloves while doing the dishes.

Annika I'm so much worse in the shower too and a while after, maybe hour or so after. So strange! And yesi always wear gloves with doing the dishes per Dr M.

could be the warm water moving your lymph too.

If we don't excel at health, the only other option is disease.

Interesting idea about moving lymph. Christina, my symptoms also tend to be worse after showering.

Doing dishes used to really mess with me as well.  I think it was the stooping over and leaning my abdomen into the counter that was causing me fits.  Like to much pressure on the bladder. Seems better now BUT i did get a dishwasher last year so that could be why ;)
