Do your symptoms get worse all during menstruation?  I just had my first cycle in 1 1/2 years after being pregnant, childbirth and breastfeeding.  My urgency has gotten intense, and just when I was experiencing long-ish periods of the symptom quieting.

Also, just want to say out loud that I've really been struggling with the diet.  I think about eating most of the day, and I think about drinking coffee every day, which I haven't had in 9 months.  I make lots of things for my family that I so want to eat, and now today is Thanksgiving Day and I'm really feeling sorry for myself that I can't induldge.  But indulgence is partly what got me here in the first place.

I am just making myself a big lunch of lamb chops, cauliflower and probably potatoes before I go to the family gathering.  Im hoping I can get some satisfaction with that.

It's just been so hard as I don't eat butter, olive oil or anything.  I've just been steaming away all my food.  And my veggie list is currently pretty short.  Thank god for egg yolks and meat fat.  These are my biggest food pleasures right now.

My symptoms are ALWAYS worse

My symptoms are ALWAYS worse right before menstruation, taper off a bit during, and then better afterwards.  I think this is fairly normal for most of us....ladies that is.

yes

I too get worse right before, a little better during, and much better when its over.   I feel my best days 7-14 in my cycle.  My IC is highly connected to my hormones.

Oh yeah

and I have only been on the diet a month, and I have cheated with fruit sweetened things 3 times already, and had coffee today.  I know it is bad, and I am trying my hardest.  I have improved MUCH, though with my cravings and I am focusing on what I am doing right now.  Coffee does not bother my IC, but it causes an increase in my anxiety. So, I totally relate to the diet being rough.  It is, and there is no way around that.

Me as well

My mestruation sometimes makes it a bit better,
But most of the time worse.
And my symptoms are very bad after a bowel
movement, is there someone else with this problem
too.?
I cheated in the first few months, but not anymore,
now i know how important it is.
But after a year i'm still feeling bad, and my weight
loss is very bad.
I deffinetly think that hormones are a problem in IC.
