This sounds daft but if anyone takes oil of oregano, how are you taking it? Me being me just cracked open the bottle and put 4 drops under my tongue. Frightened the hell out of me because the burning was awful, it felt like I had drunk poison. Thing is, it's brilliant for yeast infections ect. Is there a way we can take this so it doesn't burn our heads off? I know it obviously isn't harmful but now just the smell of it is sending me into a fit of panick. I get a lot of panick attacks these days...had a smashing one last night groan :o(

I put drops of oil of oregano in a little water and drink it down. Usually I take goldenseal with it. I just swish it around in a small glass with maybe a couple of ounces of water in it. You could also put the drops of oregano in an empty gel capsule. I've done that too. I don't mind the taste so much anymore, but the oregano does tend to repeat on me a short while after I take it.
I put mine in some water and drink it fast, its sick..but I am used it it. I pretend I am drinking a shot..haha
I'm taking oreganol capsules- 5 of them- 3 times a day. They look like small gold oil filled caps. They have no taste but I do taste it for while after taking it. I got them at Vitamin shoppe and they have them on line too, on their web site. The bottle lasts 4 days since I take 15 a day and there are 60caps/bottle. Kind of expensive but I compared the mg to the oil and it seemed a little less money to use the caps.
I either put it in empty gelatin caps or mix it in water and down it. I think it's too strong for me to put it directly in the mouth. Good luck!
