Have any of you had an abcessed tooth in treatment? How did you handle it?  Were you able to avoid taking antibiotics? Any advice would be most appreciated.  Thanks

Sharon, I've always taken

Sharon, I've always taken Matia's combo instead of antibiotics (ear/goldenseal/gml), but depending on where you are in treatment your combo is very specific, so please ask her. I've done tons of dental work, even had a bone graft and an implant, and always just took her herbs. As I progressed in treatment, my teeth stopped bothering me all together by the way.

GML

GML- HA! you all will become very familair with the short hand of formulas. GML stands for a particular chinese formula called-Gan Mao Ling. It is a cold and flu formula but is also a very strong I  beleive herbal anti- viral anti-bacterial combo. It works wonders for colds/flus and coughs/mucous in the membranes/lungs. There are some VERY powerful herbs out there than IMO can be just as if not more effective than anti-biotics!- Mary

PS- This treatment is reversing what looks like some gum issues in my mouth. There is totally a connection between digestive/dental health.

Interesting!

I found this great chart on the Internet http://www.secretofthieves.com/tooth-chart/index.cfm
Click on the tooth and it will tell you what organ it correlates to in Chinese medicine.
My abscess is between tooth number 6 & 7.  Tooth number 7 correlates to the Yin:kidney and Yang: bladder, urogenital.
The doctor saw an abscess but the teeth looked healthy in the X-ray.  I am praying the herbs take care of the infection.  Hopefully, it is not a new infection from an old root canal.

Honeybee thanks for the info

To Happy Mom - I hope you feel better soon.  Fortunately I haven't any abescesses - teeth just ache - let's not talk about muscles and joints - plugging along.  Take Care Denise
