Ok so I know water is a big subject and spring and distilled is the way to go. I found this water that brings my pain levels down 3-4 levels though so I have to talk about it.Now it has won awards and so far it is only in limitied areas. It is called coral water and it is remineralized and purified. There is something about thier combo that brings my pain down and I can't seem to go with out it. I just thought I would share. I Know we aren't suposed to advertise I am sorry for that I just felt it was important. Matia if you want the website let me know.

Water in Canada

I am wondering if anybody in Canada, specifically in the West, has any suggestions for safe water for those of us with IC.  I have been driving down to the US to buy "Arrowhead" water but finding this to be time consuming.  I am looking at "Canadian Spring Water".  It is natural spring water that has been ozonated.  I am not sure of the PH yet.  I am also looking at "Mountain Spring" Water which also is natural spring and ozonated.  They also have natural spring water that has been demineralized.  This is all so confusing does anyone have a suggestion of what I should drink?

water in Canada

Hi Kriste:  Thrifty's Foods in BC now carries  large bottles of Arrowhead Spring Water. I switched from Polar Spring and am much more comfortable....

Water

Water was  the last thing that I paid attention to until I made a visit at Yosemite National Park for my 10 year anniversary. I would sometimes drink tap at my house, but when we went to Yosemite this July, I noticed I really started to flare.  I had noticed that when I made a visit the April before last.  I was so bummed out because I thought to mysef, "you have got to be kidding me, this is my favorite place in the whole world... now I flare because of a darn park?  and I would consider myself a mild IC patient!"  Then, I noticed my son was flaring too!  Then, for whatever reason... I put 2 and 2 together and BOOM!  I realized that the water that I LOVED to drink there from the tap was doing it.  As soon as I stopped drinking that water and changed to bottled or even Pellegrino, my son and I stopped flaring.  So... water... even from the purest source can cause such a bad flare.  The water in Yosemite tastes so good and fresh, but I suspect it is the high mineral content that causes such a bad flare in my son and me.

The water that I drink while at home is from Trader Joes.  I drink the Pure New Zealand Artesian Water (probably similar to Fiji) or Trader Joes Bottled spring water in the sport top pack.  I have not had any problems what so ever with it!  I noticed there is a TJs in Vancouver, so hope that helps our Canadian brethren!

Best!  and good luck,

Jeanette

with a note to Kriste

Thanks for the TJ tip, Jeanette. I think Trader Joe's is not in Vancouver BC, but in Vancouver WA...could be wrong. I am heading to Bellingham though and plan to give the TJ spring water there a try. I was very happy to find the Arrowhead spring water at Thrifty's on Vancouver Island, as we discussed, Kriste. However they are not restocking so am again searching. They say Thrifty's is carrying it in Coquitlam in Vancouver and in Victoria.   If you have any others you've tried, to recommend, I'd sure be interested.

To loloThrifty' s re: water

Lolo they do have the Arrowhead water at Thrifty's in Coquitlam, BC on Austin Ave.  I also am trying a water from Mountain Spring water.  It is from here in B.C.  It is natural spring water from Harrison, B.C.  They dropped off some free bottles for me to try, so will see how this goes and let you know.

Thanks Jeanette for the tips.  I also think that TJ is in Vancouver, Washington and not Vancouver, B.C.

water

Thanks Kriste.... I will look for Mountain Spring water and look forward to hearing about your experience with it. I cannot believe I was so strict about my drinking water but for some reason I used tap water for hot drinks (in my case...hot water in a cup)...I have just now started using bottled water for all.......I wonder if any others have made this mistake...I have found that clear thinking has not been easy...

water/fuzzy headedness

fuzzy thinking is such a challenge for this treatment!  just remembering to take my herbs on time!
I use spring water - a semi- local brand that works well for me. I even cook my food with it. I can't use anything else or I react to it. It has helped me to use spring water- and a water filter for my shower.
