Substitute the word-Universe or whatever other word works for you-nature. IT is the message that is important here-not the God part. Please read this, it is a really important message:

I have already received an overwhelmingly kind and loving offer for the patient in need below.

I am so touched by this. I realize not many people could make an offer like this. And, perhaps this will not even come to fruition, but, I am continually inspired by find love in unexpected places just at a moment when it is so needed.

This offer comes from someone who was once feeling like she would die herself and has experienced that amazement of healthy well-being.

what goes around does come around.

One day I hope to have a half way house for those in need for IC. This is something I am really aspiring towards.

Right now, I have a patient in need of such a place and there is no where for her to go. Her family cannot keep her here bc of space issues. She cannot stay alone bc she wont take her herbs or remember to eat.

If anyone can house this person for three months in exchange for rent and help her with meals and supplements it would be a beautiful gift.

I am just putting this out there--just in case.

Someone asked me this week to post on grains bc evidently there has been a lot of talk about them.  I wish I could say that I will make this crystal clear for everyone- I cant, but, I will make it as clear as possible.

Everyone knows how I feel about water. I rec'd this in an email yesterday, and I thought this might be interesting. If you have a moment, it might be a good thing to do and give us more information:

Dear Supporter,

Ever look at a bottle of water and wonder, "Where does the water come from? Is it purified? Did the FDA make sure it's safe and clean?"

It is very common to lose a lot of weight in the early stages of this treatment and that weight loss may extend for a long period of time. The reason for this is that the digestive system is very inter-related to the illness of IC and the digestion and assimilation of nutrients is a fundamental problem for many patients. When sugar and junk food is removed from the diet, there is no longer an excess of calories in the body to keep the weight on.

you know, the universe works in mysterious ways bc I just rec'd a thank you from a patient who was just about to get a botox injection! So, i thought, I would post a few articles that were sent to me a long while ago from my sister, who, was a TV new producer for many years and is actually very much a wester medicine believer. But, even she sent me these articles acknowledging what a bad idea botox seems to be. I am posting the articels as I rec'd them:

A long time patient called me for a n appointment the other day. I hadnt spoken to her for a while. When I asked how she was doing, I heard her voice crackle and my heart sunk. She said, "you wont be happy with what I am going to tell you.." I thought , what could she tell me? Maybe she's been eating lots of sugar or binge drinking. She said, she had been feeling badly about herself, about aging, and the line in her forehead was really bothering her. so, she got a botox injection. Within 24 hours her entire body went into a whirlwind.

..as I have said before. But, being aware of when to use which medicine is important. And, being aware in order to make good choices is important. This is a really great link to a series of youtube clips-click on them!

I have seen many cases of such side effects here in my own clinic.

...went really well. It was a little quiet, subdued, and a little less intense than previous meeting. But, it was filled with lots of caring, love, and support by all.

We had a newcomer to the group, who, I hope got a lot out of the meeting.

If anyone has any follow up questions to last night, please feel free to comment here.
