Confusing Information On Toilet Paper

Facebook iconTwitter iconGoogle icon

It seems there is conflicting information on toilet paper. I don't understand why, unless they are trying to hide the fact that they do indeed put those toxic ingredients in toilet paper. I am not saying they do at all. I have no idea. But, here are three follow up emails to them:

1.
Since I thought the toilet paper list from Charmin was absurd I called

another time and they confirmed that was the list. So I emailed and the new

response is below. I will call tomorrow to confirm this info.

Thanks for your response.

The information that you requested is below:

Processed Wood Pulp.  In NA we use virgin wood pulp.  Our products don't

contain recycled fibers. - Used to make paper from softwood trees (Pine &

Spruce) and hardwood trees (Oak/maple.)

Wet Strength Polymer    Added to increase strength during wet use.

(Mention only if pressed) Adhesive     Hold plies together.  Present in

trace amounts

(Special type of glue)

I hope this helps!

Thanks again for writing to us.

2.

I just spoke w/ Charmin. Hopefully this new info is correct. They said the

list I got was a list of items people asked about. It's all very strange.

The new info is all Charmin is made from:

1. virgin wood pulp,

2. wet strength polymer

3. trace amounts of adhesive.

They make 4 varieties:

Basic-contains 3 ingredients

Ultra Soft-3 ingredients except the 9 pack mega roll also has aloe and

tocopheryl acetate

Ultra Strong-contains 3 ingredients

Sensitive- contains 3 ingredients and mineral oil, shea butter, cetearyl

alcohol, tocopheryl acetate, aloe and shea butter

I will send another email soon w/ the Scott update.

 3.

Here is an email from Scott tissue. The varieties listed only are virgin

wood pulp . I called and mentioned I was not interested in recycled toilet

paper after what I had read about the bacteria count in recycled paper

towels.

What kind of Charmin did the patient have problems with?-in the 1st post she'd said she got worse when new toilet paper then better when she stopped it  ... Does she still think it's the toilet paper if nothing in fact was in it?
