just got the green light to try black tea and not sure what kind to get. went to whole foods and there were a ton of different teas, but had trouble finding one that was plain black tea (no extra ingredients) and decaffinated. but at my regular supermarket, i found tetley decaffinated black tea. the only catch is that it is not organic. is that an issue with teas? do you all only drink organic tea? if so what brand and where did you find it? thanks!

I don't think it matters, if it's organic or not...I LOVE tea, but it's weird cause sometimes I can have it and sometimes I don't seem to tolerate it. Oh and I can't handle decaff tea, at. all.I would just buy a bunch of sorts and have a happy time testing. Worse case senario, you have lots of variety to offer when someone come to your place :-)You could also start with non-organic tea and take some time to figure out where to buy the organic ones :-)
decaf versus caf tea
hey ballerine!thanks for the info. now, you say you react to decaf, which is something i hadn't really thought of. i actually bought decaf because i figured that would be less likely to make me react. i have been caffeine free for many years since i used to react to chocolate and coffee, so figured must have at least had something to do with the caffeine. plus, figure if my nerve endings are already hyper sensitive, a stimulant like caffeine would just turn everything up even more. but then, another patient of matia's was telling me that sometimes decaf can be worse because of the whole process of taking the caffeine out of the tea leaves. somehow that processing does something that makes the tea more irritating. i hadn't heard that before, but your message makes me think there really might be something to this. so, would i be safer going with caffeinated tea? ugh. i hate being so afraid to try new things. i'm so scared all the time. it's awful.thanks in advance for your thoughts.
