I started bleeding form my bladder on Thursday, turned out to be an infection.  Matia stopped all my other meds and started me on 4 Ear, 4 gan mao lang, 2 goldenseal and 5 drops of oil of oregano every 3 to 4 hours but said that if this did not work that I would need antibiotics because there would not be time to get any other herbs to me as I live in the UK.  Yesterday evening, the visible blood was gone and the pain has eased a little and the stick showed no blood cells but still some nitrates indicating infection.  Unfortanately I had a bad night and now the blood has returned, so has some of the pain and as I can't get hold of Matia today as it is Sunday have made the decision to start the antibiotics which is exactly what I did not want to do but I know that I need to shift this infection.
Have you got any sticks at home you could use to try and see if this is an infection or a hike in your IC sysmptoms? I would recommend finding out if you have an infection first and then seeing what Matia says.
I am in a real state as I do not know whether to continue with the herbs as well as the antibiotics or to stop them, until I hear from her I will continue with the herbs.

   After having UTI and kidney infections, I keep a bottle of Dianthus on hand.  If I lived in the UK, I would probably store at least two bottles of Dianthus in my medicine cabinet.  Matia has used it sucessfully to treat my UTI/ kidney symptoms. She combines Dianthus with other things, and it should only be taken under her guidance.   I have had Matia treat everything from strep throat to kidney infections for the last two years.  
   Antibiotics are helpful in emergency situations.  Even if you take them, Matia will help your body recover from their effects.  I hope you feel better soon.
