I got this at the library and it really explains how important bacteria are to the body.  There are 8 bacteria on and in us for every cell in our body.  The work together and talk to each other thru enzymes, toxins, and other chemical communication.  Microbiologists are just starting to understand the symbiosis and how we all work together. The book also explains that in general as a society we are too clean and that kids with lots of siblings, animals, farms, dirt, etc... have better imume systems and get the bacteria needed. They have much less allergies and imune diseases.  The book came out in 2007 and has excellent research behind it. Antibiotics are amazing drugs but they also can cause problems that we are just beginning to understand.  It is a great book for all the research nerds out there and I would highly recommend it especially if you have small children.

On a personal note...I have been feeling so much better.  Bladder pain is gone. Now dealing with bloating and building up on my probiotic (on step 1 and 2- Natren).  I am back to exercise at the gym as much as I like and list 3.  No foods are causing me pain at this time and I am sleeping thru the nite (amazing!).  I still feel I have candida tho at much lower levels since I still have rectal itching, peri area itching, scalp itching, sometimes but even that is getting better. My allergies seem better to and I have not taken any long acting antihistiamines in 2 weeks.  My acne seems to come and go but is overall way better (and I am 52!)  I am not so cold anymore either and am even getting some very low level hot/warm flashes which for me is a good sign.  I have read lots of candida books. gluten books, and lots of other health books.  The learning is fun....a whole new world of fun and knowledge.  I hope this is encouraging to others.  I think it was key to stick to the diet in the beginning which I did religiously.  It seems easier to do when you are in pain.

I am praying for all of you on this forum and some of the recent posts are really beautiful.   Wendy
