I recently decided to change my career slightly so I started studying and training in a holistic therapy called kinesiology. I found it so good, I had to write about it. Kinesiology works very much like acupuncture without the needles....so great for those who hate sharp things!
So... another thing I would recommend besides reading The Healing Crisis is telling yourself this mantra: "I honor my body where it is today!" I learned that phrase in yoga today... Just as we were all going into a pose, the teacher would say that and it was AMAZING... It helped me realize to not be ashamed of where I was in terms of a pose but that my body was a work in progress and I should honor where it is now! We need to remember that our bodies know what they are doing and whatever is happening to them, we should honor it and where it is.
Is this happening or has happned to anyone else? Tonigh I ate a steak, potato and a half of a plate of grilled broccoli and an hour later, I am soooo hungry?
I am not sure if someone has the job of starting this, but I wanted to write out my questions. If you could write these down to add to the list if you do, or we can add our questions here. If you want I can be the one to take notes and copy the answers on here after we get them.
here are my questions:
Why do veges make us flare?
What do you do when all veges make you flare? Should you keep eating them to heal? Will you you be able to heal while you are flaring all day from the healthy foods?
Is anyone interesting in participating in a semi grey market activity? Ordering from Bomamed is so frustrating because of high shipping costs! Maybe if we have extra bottles of something, we can ship it for cheaper to each other--and trade something of equal value. Lately, I've really been feeling the financial drain of this treatment!
I may be wrong but are oats anywhere in the diet? What about oatmeal, steel cut oats, fast cooking vs slow cooking? I did read (off this site) that steel cut oats were the best and had 1/2 the glycemic index of the instant or fast cooking (cook in 1 min). I was thinking they would be good because they may be gluten free but they have alot of fiber and may be too irritating for the colon and to "cleansing". This would be a great topic for Matia on the call Friday. I would love to hear if any of you have eaten oatmeal and if it has been tolerated. I made a recipe with meat and steelcut
Curious what amount of "treats" you all eat per day/per week? By "treats" I mean foods we're totally allowed to eat (for our respective diet lists) but not necessarily the healthiest, i.e. potato chips w/ just olive oil or other packaged stuff, or treats that may be healthy but probably not great if eaten too much of, i.e. cheese.
ok..I know I am not a cook, but I have been broiling ny strip and it is so good.
My question is.....
What type of pan does everyone use?
I wanted to buy a bigger pan than what I have because it only holds one (I am using corningware).
I went to target and every pan states not to use in a broiler. Corningware, glass, pyrex, stoneware, you name it. So, what the heck am I suppossed to use? Am I being to anal and should I just go ahead and use a glass pan?
I need to douche with goldenseal. Do you buy a regular douche product, empty out the chemicals, wash it, and use it with water and goldenseal? Let me know if I am on the right track. If you treat your yeast infections differently, please let me know.
