Often women come to me sick with IC with the unrealistic expectation to try and get pregnant a few months after they have begun treatment. I have turned several patients away over the years because of this because this is not something that I could make happen for them without a lot of pain. But, for those who waited until more balance was achieved in the body, pregnancy went really well, and the result-a healthy wonderful baby.

We are sending this NVIC Advocacy Team Alert to all our members to inform you of two bills in the state of Washington, HB1015 and SB5005, that not only threaten vaccine philosophical and religious exemptions for Washington residents but set a dangerous precedent for all Americans who value the ability to utilize a vaccine exemption for their children to delay or decline one or more state mandated vaccines.
ICA had contacted me recently because in their CAM survey they conducted last year, there was a lot of positive commentary from my patients regarding alternative medicine and the use of probiotics was mentioned a lot. She had asked me to clarify my thought on probiotics and was going to use what I wrote in a piece she was doing, but, she just told me that information will not be used. So, I thought I would post it here in case it is of any interest to anyone:
This is another topic of great significance in IC and other chronic illness. I thought I should bring it up because one of my patients in particular is struggling with this right now very strongly and it brought it up for me.
There are so many aspects of emotional change and growth. When a person is going through this kind of treatment-not just ICAMA-but any alternative kind of treatment for chronic illness, they may find that not only their body is changing, but, their minds and "spirits" are as well.
