This is an article about the cultivation of super bugs being caused by antibiotics, which, I completely agree with. The verbiage here is a bit strong and perhaps a little offensive to some, I am pointing the article out, I didnt write it! I dont agree with everything here, but, I agree with the general concepts.

When I saw those machines in the airport I thought they CAN'T be a good idea. I refuse to go through them, personally. I am very happy to be patted down, I have nothing to hide or be embarrassed about.

I feel honored to help so many people with IC. Over the last 15 years, I have only grown to love my work more and more and feel joyful that my life has taken the turns it has in order to get me to the place where I am today. I get so much back inside of my heart from all that I put out. And, in addition to my work time, I dedicate endless amounts of my personal time happily.

I have problem hair for a few reasons--a big one owing to my overuse of yes, the flat iron. It has severely damaged my poor hair, but, I am stuck, with this long hair I dont want to cut and the problem of what to do with it.

Just a quick reminder--when I give you instructions on products, please get EXACTLY what I ask you to. When the person at the healthfood store says, "oh, you can get this product, it is the same thing", DON'T LISTEN!

is a concept of the mother passing problems on to the child through the womb-but not of a genetic nature, but a microbiological one. Someone passed an article on to me this am and it is really all about this without calling it this.

I cannot begin to tell you how many points I agree with in this article, it is wonderful researchers are doing this work. It is about autism and that the stem of it may well be from the health of the mother at the time of carrying the child.

Chemicals that are contained in your foods are very relevant to your health and the same is true for the chemicals in your make-up and hair and skincare. There are numerous unhealthy ingredients in so many products that would be smart to stay away from for so many reasons not just because of your IC.

This article discusses the impact of a particular ingredient in lipstick, particularly the brighter colored ones. On that note, it is wise to stay away from brightly colored foods too (ask yourself if it could have gotten that color with natural substances).

Someone just brought this article to my attention, it was listed on the article I posted yesterday.

This one speaks aabout the connection between gut bacterial and mood. And while what these researchers found was intersting, I think they have only scratched the surface. My guess is that they will uncover a mass of connectivity between emotion and gut flora.

There was this great article that came out of Peabody University several years back that linked pobesity with overgrowth of microorganisms. I lost it and cannot find it at the moment. I will see if I can find it and will post it. It was very interesting.

Sparkling water is something you can enjoy from about list 3 up-once you have determined you are ok with it. However, in  IC and in general, sparkling water should be your "treat" water, not your main source of water intake.

Nothing hydrates your body like water and sparkling water can be dehydrating.

So this is a good rule to live by IC or no IC. REgular water should be about 85% of your daily water intake and sparkling can be about 15% and no, the water you use to make your coffee doesn't count!:)
