Doing a little better

My husband and son left very early this morning along with the rest of the team going to Honduras. Yesterday was a rough day emotionally and I cried a lot. I just stayed up in my room and cried because I didn't want to quench the excitement of the team, and I needed to let the tears flow. Today, I am calmer and the pain has calmed somewhat. I just need to take it easy and be kind to myself today.

Thanks for being there... I will share what I can this week about my husband's travels. There will be a lot of happy people learning to walk with their new prosthetic legs. :)

You are so brave and have been very selfless in order to allow your son and husband to leave more easily. I'm so glad you're a little better.

So glad to hear you are doing better!  I have my first appointment in July with Boaz, but I still come here often.  I love seeing all of the love and support from everyone!...its very comforting!  There are so many days when I feel sorry for myself and cry a lot...this morning being one of them...and then I think of people like your husband and son are helping, people that have lost a limb, and remember that I am not the only one in the world facing hard times.  I know that sometimes doesn't make my discomfort any better, but I try and think that it could be worse.  Thanks for sharing, and for being helping me to be optimistic :)

btarrh, I totally understand the feeling sorry for yourself and crying. I think it's good to cry when you need to, but also good to keep perspective and positivity. I'm glad you are seeing Boaz soon. He has helped many people. And yes, this forum is very good for support. The ladies here are all amazing!
