feeling drunk and woozy

I got back from LA about 3 days ago and have been on 2 rp 2 goldenseal 2 and 1/4 mega per day. After I take the herbs I feel drunk and woozy, a little short of breath, dizzy so i need to sit and brain foggy for an hour or so. Boaz reduced the RP but the feeling persists. Any body else had a reaction like this? It also fired up my bladder a little. I'm very worried this treatment won't work for me As I am so sensitive.

Any information gratefully received.

Katie- That sounds like a classic die off. Many many people have had similiar feelings. Your body is working hard to rid itself of all kinds of toxic junk. You will get through this. IC is a disease of sensitivity. There is no way to know whether or not this will "work" for you (no way to know what the future holds for anyone!) but keep reminding yourself that you are working hard to allow your body to heal. You are adding good foodsand supplements and cutting out dangerous things. You are working with a very skilled practitioner who has a lot of experience dealing with an extremely complicated disease. Hang in there. (((((((((((((hug))))))))))))))))) Take it one day at a time and email Boaz about your symptoms.

Thanks Deir! This is my last chance (I've tried a lot of natural things over the last 3 years and seen 65 practitioners ) so I feel very worried that this treatment won't work for me.

Katie, Deir worded it all so well - hard to add to that. Die-off is yucky!!!! No other way to put it!!!  Try not to fight it. Just let the body work the way it was designed to. I had die-off on and off for quite a while in the beginning. Just remember this is normal right now for tx. The body is ever changing though so sometimes things get better too.  Keep reaching out to us. I know it is really scary but Boaz is there for you and so are we. Hang in there. This is not a quick fix. So in all fairness to the tx you must be willing to give it some time. It's really tough because your mind starts playing games with you especially with pain. I'm sorry. Hope it passes soon and you feel better. Hugs to you!!!

I had really ad dizziness and brain fog right after I started treatment, it lasted about a week and got easier, ther are many die off symptoms that can occur during treatment and the body is getting rid of junk that has built up over the years, some die off is mild and others pretty bad. Just hang in there and things will improve over time. just keep in contact with Boaz so he can change things if need be.

Thanks both.

i know I have to put the work in and that's fine. I just got a bit scared that I felt so poorly so quickly! As for the increased IC symptoms I guess that's just part of the parcel. I dont normally have bladder pain as part of my IC (it's mainly v bad urethral pain) so it was a bit scared to get this after a starting the herbs But I guess die off Comes in many forms!

It is very scary. It helped me alot to hear others tell me these were common die-off symptoms. The scary part is not knowing what to expect. Boaz is VERY good regulating your herbs and he will try to make you as comfortable as he can while still working to get the body more balanced. Making the decision to completely trust him helped me alot too. we will continue to be here for you too!!

Thanks patty! It's the palpitations and shortness of breath that scare me the most. It probably doesn't help that I read up on anaphylaxis previously so keep worrying that's what is happening to me. It's hard to know what to expect when you start and distinguish between what is an allergy and what is a due off symptom.

If it gets too scary email Boaz. I had the palpitations and he made some changes in my herbs that helped. At the very least he might be able to help you establish if its notmal or panic time. Over a period of time you will come closer to establishing that for yourself and you don't fear it so much. Its like ok this happened before andI was fine so I'm going to be fine now too. And if at any time you just cant tough it out thats ok too. Let him know. I've had to do that only once so far. I am not sorry I did. Maybe it extended my treatment but it was the best decision at the time as far as I was concerned and Boaz was completely understanding. His entire goal here is to help you heal.
