I am on list 1 and need some date night ideas that do not involve food.  I feel like all we do is go to the movie.  I want something where we are interacting more with each other and can get out of the house.

Hi! I love hiking and as long as I am feeling good enough, that is what we do during the day. Or, one night we drove to a nice oart of Philly and just took a walk. I really miss the old days of sitting with a beer or glass of wine and talking but I now make the best of it! Also- we have been trying to have more get togethers with our neighbors so we can have fun without somone else making the food. Last week we had a block party and evryone brought food so it didnt matter that I was eating my own food. I also love live music so we sometimes go to a bar (without smoking) and listen to music- I also sing- so if I am watchign someone I know, I sometimes sit in. Turns out I actually sing better without alcohol! I order water with lemon (and I don't drink it!- just easier to order sosemthing) My husband gets a vodka and soda and we just hang out. Sometiems, you just need a reason to put on some high heels!

I have eaten out MANY times. Find a local steak house that will make you a steak, steamed, sauteed or grilled veggies, and a baked potatoe with garlic butter on the side. Or a salad and bring your own dressing. It has been quite easy and I have NEVER had issues as long as you call ahead and ask questions. Like Deir we have family parties where we do the cooking so it is easy. We also hike.

If we don't excel at health, the only other option is disease.

I haven't been so lucky with eating out. It is sometimes hard to get the right vegetables and all the explaining gets old. I think I have too much fear when eating out to make it much fun!

My husband and I like to play games at home when we hang out together.  Or read a book together.

Sometimes when I'm having a better day, we go to the mall and walk around and go to our favorite stores, and most of the time we don't buy anything, but we like to browse the bookstore and stuff and just talk.  Other than that, we don't do a whole lot because I still have pain all the time and quite a bit of urgency and frequency.

If I was able to, I would go for walks with my husband and go to the park and hang out.  Maybe you could do that?

We sometimes go to an art museum or to a lecture or talk on a subject that interests us both.  Concerts are good, too.  Nature walks, antiquing (if you like that sort of thing...), bowling, dancing.  I keep thinking there are these hilarious ballroom dance classes through the local adult ed program and I want to do something fun and funny like that...  Hope that helps!

We also love hiking, walking our dog, farmers markets, hanging out on the beach/surfing, board games, museums, cooking list 1 foods together, dancing. Anytime together is perfect. You could do a picnic, even with list one foods.
