Hi all,
Just a quick one to ask you to please remember in your prayers. Long story short - I have been feeling very unwell lately so did a blood test today and it has shown a significantly abnormal liver function. I am due to go to hospital tomorrow morning for more tests etc. I am quite scared because I don't really know what's brought this on. I am terrified that the docs will blame it on herbs - they are not very open to alternative therapy anyway. I hope to God they don't steer me away from this treatment because I refuse to go back on conventional meds :(

Hello! Know that you are not alone! They want to do a liver biopsy on me. Have you had your ferritin, free iron, and iron saturation tested? They now think mine could be related to hemochromatosis and lupus, My liver enzymes go to scary levels then come back down and every dr blames it on my herbs, but there has never been any relation to what certain herb I'm taking and my liver enzymes, other than RP always brings them down. Sending my prayers!

Thank you all :) Just a quick update - I have had numerous blood tests done and the good news is levels are coming down. Unfortnuately, still don't know what caused it but they think its connected to a virus. Still have more appointments to attend but I doubt we will get to the bottom of this, anyway, I just want the liver to go back to normal!
