Like many of us, I have more than one western Medicine diagnosis.....IC and POTS Syndrome. As you have progressed through treatment, have your "other" conditions gotten better? Did it generally get better before or after your bladder did? I am interested in hearing from others experiencines........

Hello you - OH MY GOSH - A resounding YES!

Here goes.  Abnormal PAPs - told that they were pretty sure it would develop into cervical cancer.  Now, for the last two years, completely normal.  Five years ago polyps during colonoscopy.  This time pretty and pink. Three years ago daily decongestent and flonaise for horrendous sinus headaches, My right ear canal was nearly closed.  I now rarely have sinue headaches, and I now have an ear canal. My stomach had gotten to the point where spicy food, and anything carbonated was to be completely avoided.  Now, I eat jalapenos like a fiend and can have carbonated spring water, if limited, without it bothering me.
As for the timing, I would say that my bladder has been the first thing to improve.  Now, my greatest hope and prayer is that the OCD and anxiety will start to lesson......

Hey Denise, Thanks for chiming in on my question. It makes me happy to hear how others have improved not only their bladder pain but other issues as well! You have made such incredible progress......I am sending good energy your way that the anxiety is the next to go!
This burning muscle stuff is for the birds! I am sure this will resolve itself in time......having patience with the healing process is sometimes a challenge for me.

Hey folks.  I am new to this IC program.  I have my first appt May 15 th but I have been following the diet for about a month.  I have having die-off symptoms and have developed Hypoglycemia.  I have been trying to eat every two hours to help combat this.  I have had yeast problems so I am having problems tolerating the starches which have probably added to they Hypoglycemia.  The pain has decreased greatly since following the diet and the yeast also has decreased in symptoms.  The thing that is really attacking me is the anxiety and emotions.  I feel like curling up in a ball and never moving.  My mind has become consmed by the anxiety.  Does anyone have any suggestions to help me since I still have several weeks before I see the doctor?  I know I am not alone after reading all the blogs in here but It doesnt always make it easier to go through it.  My family are all involved in traditional medicine so they don't even understand my taking this approach to health with the exception of my wonderful husband.  Just writing out my feelings here seems to help a little.  I know some of the anxiety is focusing on what ifs.  Thanks for your input.

Well....I could write a book and I am sure many of us could. First of all- welcome and best of luck to you!

I am in a rush right now  but the best advice I can give you about what helps me with the anxiety that this condition creates is to just Let It BE. If I am feeling really nuts, I say ot myslef- "well, youa re feeling nuts, that is just how it is right now" SOmehow the lack of resistance helps.

Really trying to only get through this one 24 hrs- sometimes 1 hour at a time is what helps me when I am feeling stressed.

I will write more specific things when I  have a chance

Hi and welcome
i think list one is very hard if you don't have the herbal support which is why some people opt to wait to start the diet unti treatment starts. The doctor will give you herbal support for the anxiety etc... If it were me I would be eating a tablespoon nearly of grass fed butter (kerrygold is one) AT EACH MEAL and include fatty meats and avocado from list 2 unless you think it will increase your pain. Also avoid high fiber grain at first and try small amounts of white rice pasta with each meal. Fats are KEY TO regulating mood. Try to include. Roasted chicken with skin on, etc you get the idea. Hang in it will get better!!!

If we don't excel at health, the only other option is disease.

Welcome Patty,
I, too, had hypoglycemia issues that resolved quickly after being on treatment a few months. Those constant crashes are extremely draining so I feel for you. I second the advice Mimi and Deirdre have given you......in the beginning, one hour at a time. I would say the vast majority of us question whether or not this treatment will work for us....and it does, and it will.

I have MS & have seen incredible improvements in my symptoms. I was taking a weekly inter muscular injection for 13 years with the exception of my pregnancies ... ( Gosh this makes me sound so old... But I was diagnosed at 24) I have been off all western meds for over a year. I sometimes think I am having symptoms but the lines get blurred because it is so similar to what others complain to be die off. I have less body pain & weakness, less fatigue , headaches virtually gone, I'm stronger, happier, my anxiety & fears have vanished. This is all amazing & wonderful & maybe now my body is ready to heal the IC... I have been in treatment with Matia for 22 months & I still have ALOT of pain. One thing at a time!

Amy, Reading your post reminds me of how this treatment encourages a healing of the whole body and not just our bladders. I can certainly understand how the lines of symptoms would become blurred with having both ms and IC.....so many of us have muscle symptoms/ weakness/ strange sensations etc ( myself included) and yet "meeting" you gives me a clear understanding that one can still lead a quality and productive life with ms. Your kids are beautiful and it sounds as though you are doing very well without the assistance of western meds.
Do you have much pain associated with the ms? Or only bladder pain?
Lol.... You are certainly not old;)

I have spent the weekend stidying the blogs and everyones comments. I feel I know you all already :)  what a special group of ladies. I have suffered with anxiety for over 30 years andnever had any support. It makes such a difference to know you are not alone. I KNOW God led me here and I know it will be a long journey but I know I will get well through this program.  I hope to be an encouragement to my new friends as well as them being here for me.  Thank you.

Katie 90% of my pain is bladder related & some of my numbness leg aching & dizziness can very well be this treatment. I feel so fortunate that my MS is under control & I have been able to have 3 healthy children. I know the diet is a part of me feeling good too although there are things on this diet that a Dr. Who healed herself from MS doesn't agree with. Soon much info all of the time!

Katie my hypoglycemia, sugar addiction and eating disorder all under control. My acne is about 90% better (this was a HUGE deal for me). My "perimenopausal" night sweats are gone. My chicken bumps on backs of arms and butt are gone-KP it is called I think?
