I have had this burning in abundance lately, and it is really getting to me. Anyone else have this currently or has anyone had it in the past and gotten through it? I have made the decision (with Dr. M's blessing) to go back on Elavil for a while so that things will calm down enough for me to feel more confident about trying new doses. Lately everything is causing pain, even herbs that never did before. I really need a break from this pain.

Lisa , the burning in my urethra tip has turned into my main symptom. It then causesme frequency because I feel like when I pee it takes the burning away for a little. Honestly, I feel like I am in a good place right now in treatment but I started SF about 2 weeks ago and it has been kicking my A$$. I was fine my first couple days on it and then I got so nauseated, chest pain, heartburn , stomach burn, frequency, urethra tip burning, fatigue, bad breath, muscle aches etc. i know this die off is a good thing but it is really hard to deal with when you have to work. But before SF when I would be in a "flare" the urethral burning and frequency are my main symptoms. I think they are more uncomfortable then anything. I am always fidgeting around trying to get comfortable, etc. but I would gladly take the burning over pain.i hope you feel better soon. You are not alone.

Thank you guys so much for your support! This has been dreadfully hard lately. But I was able to relax a lot today which is good. And I have a call with Dr. M tomorrow, so I am looking forward to that for sure.

I suffer from the burning too
I suffer from the burning too. I usually feel it just before emptying the bladder and sometimes during flow. Lately the burning seems to be more external. It's not so much just before i pee but more during flow and even after i carry on feeling it. Feel quite sore down there too :( I believe i've had vv for a while but not like how i feel now. Usually it's only hypersensitive on light touch. Right now i am so aware of my private parts and just uncomfortable. It's as if the burning is moving down my body - if that makes sense?!
i don't know what to do, im trying to keep positive but it's hard :(

Sss, that's exactly what is happening with me. The pain has moved lower and it is constant uncomfortableness and sometimes constant pain. I've had this for several months, but it has come to a head lately and is very difficult to deal with. I will be so glad when this part is over. I really hope that things will turn around soon for both of us.
Sometimes when I take a dose, it will make the pain go higher up again. It's interesting.
I am so glad to know I'm not alone in this. I was doing so much better, but this is a really rough spot I'm going through right now.
