Has anyone all of a sudden felt like they started having infections, rashes, itching around jewelry? Just is the past few months have started getting infection after infection with my earrings. Very painful, after take earrings out and place goldenseal on them it seems to clear, but after a few days of wearing earrings again the painful and yucky discharge starts again. Just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience?

I had this long ago and started wearing nickel free pierced earrings but then that would mess me up too so I stopped wearing pierced all together. Now i wear clips.

I started not wearing my
I started not wearing my wedding ring several months ago because I felt like it was irritating my skin. I haven't worn earrings on my pierced ears in a long time because my earlobes would get itchy whenever I wore them. I think my body has gotten more sensitive instead of less sensitive. Maybe our bodies are going through something that is necessary for healing to happen. I hope so.

Thank you ladies, glad to know I'm not the only one who feels like their body is becoming strangely more sensitive to things. Yes, I'm hopeful it is gearing up for something good for us, Racheal Ann! I guess out with the jewelry for now. Need to put the wedding ring away anyway, might as well say out with it all! Sigh!
I've always reacted to cheap
I've always reacted to cheap jewelry, since I was a little girl. I started only wearing high quality earrings since they go into the skin. I'm fine now with gold, but notice that if I take earrings in and out often, it is irritating. I typically wear pearl earrings that I just keep in all the time, and there are no problems. Perhaps not always taking them in and out daily would help the irritation and pain level.

hey- i always wear my platinum wedding rings on one hand and two gold rings on the other, Now all of a sudden- the gold is irritating my finger. I have a seriously itchy rash out of nowhere! Annoying! The platinum isn't bothering me, thankfully.

I haven't noticed it with my jewelry yet but I have with the elastic in my underwear :) sometimes it itches like crazy. I hope I don't have to go without them :)
