you don't think about can be bothering you. Don't forget, what you put on your body is just as powerful as what you put in it.
Often one will hear, "oh, it's just going in your eyes, so it isn't systemic", or "oh, it is just a local shot to that joint, it won't effect your bladder", or "it is designed to by pass your intestines, so it won't effect your bladder". Hmm. not true. If something is touching your skin, this will effect your bladder one way or another-positive or negative.

This video speaks about the influences of the gut and metabolism. This thinking is very much aligned with mine, although there are always points that apply to others and not those with IC. So, I am not giving advice through sharing this, but rather using it as yet another example of the influences of the gut bacteria and human health. It is truly phenomenal!

In order to be more efficient with time and effectiveness, we now have a new email: urgent@bomamed.com. It will be checked during office hours Monday through Saturday. Email will not be checked on Sundays.
Every change is an adjustment, and this is a big one. I have struggled with this for some time. I hope that everyone understands my intention is to deliver the most effective treatment that I can.

It has come to my attention ( I do not read the forum) that there has been conversation about me not returning a patient email.
If I did not return an email, I missed it or did not receive it. Please resend. I don't ignore people intentionally.
I am, not with any connection to this issue, changing my emailing policy so that I can make emailing more productive and effective for both patients and myself. I will post this new policy later today or tomorrow.

I don't know where this came from, except that a patient sent it to me as if it was a quote from somewhere else. I really liked it, it encompasses many thoughts I have always upheld.
I believe in the cliche-there are reasons for everything. And that we find strength and power in our obstacles by learning to overcome them, by not believing in them. These thoughts have guided me in my own life.

On the Side effects of Antibiotics. I have not read it, but, looking at this link regarding its content, it looks quite interesting. I am not aligned with all of the recommendations below obviously regarding alternatives to antibiotics, however, the main content looks very good.

Please dont forget to refer to Bomamed facebook page regularly for a lot of interesting articles that are not posted here.
I will highlight today's, which illustrates some really good points as a continuum from my Wind Attack post:

Wind is something that blows around outside. It has to do with the weather, not health! Right? Hmmm, in any other context, especially when used with reference to health the term and concept is well, foreign.
However, this is the basic category in Chinese medicine that we use to categorize acute conditions such as colds and flus. Acute conditions such as Strep throat, also fall under this category. They are further differeniated into subcategories such as Wind-Heat, Wind -Cold, Wind-Damp, or, just simple Wind.

I stopped drinking all alcohol about 21 years ago. No, I am not an alcoholic, but suddenly I realized I was participating in behavior that made me feel unwell and thought it would be best to stop. I also realized it was a way of checking out and I didnt want to check out. I wanted to feel every moment of my life, painful or pleasurable. They both hels ( and hold) equal importance to me. After stopping that, and stopping smoking cigarrettes, yes, I smoked, I began the journey of really changing my health around.
