Sorry I have not posted a lot of late. I have had a lot going on work-wise and need to make patients come first. I had a moment and posted several in a row. I just wanted to point that out so everyone didnt just read the first one and miss all of the others. Dr.M

I have had a few people, well, I suppose more than a few in treatment over the years who just could not folow my diet protocol even to save their own health. This can be such a frustrating situation to be in both for the person in treatment, as well as for me. I have one I am thinking of now who just cant, she eats sugar all of the time, and I wish I could just go and cook for her and feed her becuase I know she can be well, but she stands in her own way.

In most cases of infection, herbs work perfectly. Circumstances requiring them are really few and far between. Often people say, "well it was serious, so I had to take an antibiotic", but it is only because we are conditioned to think that tat we do it. I have seen myself several cases in which very very serious and long lasting side effects occured in patients taking antibiotics. It is very sad when this happens.

As most of you know I dod not take people taking benzodiazpines. I could go on and on as to why, but, basically, it dirupts the body's nervous system so much that it makes it almost impossible for me to treat. It is possible for people having taken them for short term and coming off, but is still very difficult. The longer you are on them, the bigger the nightmare.

More and more researchers are connecting the brain and gut. Here is yet another outstanding article: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3232439/

Fundamental to our health is our sense of  being protected and nurtured by our parents and our self worth is so tied into that dynamic as well. This link is a bit off that topic, but, not really. I read this today and thought it was really lovely and wanted to share it for those of you with small children-especially daughters. So much of what we do as women, as mothers, impacts our children in ways we don't even realize and this piece is so well put and a shining example of that. Enjoy, Dr. M

I have said this so many times and more and more research is coming out to substantiate the argument for how adversly sugar effects the human body including cancer. This is an exerpt of a full article, but, you get the gist:http://jnci.oxfordjournals.org/content/early/2012/11/02/jnci.djs399.abst... Dr.M
