There is so much controversy over raw dairy. It is so difficult to believe in 2013, there are people crossing state lines hiding their raw milk in the trunk of their cars while holding their breath not to be stopped by police just to get something that they feel is healthy for them. Many people having suffered from chronic illness have found their way out of it with the inclusion of raw dairy. Others simply drink it because it makes them feel healthier.

The FDA is worried about controlling the distribution of raw milk and yet sugar is abundant and everywhere. This article is outstanding, speaking about sugar in the context of it being like the next tobacco. I personally think of it as stronger than that. Maybe one day we will have sugar anonymous. Sugar is addictive, it causes so many problems in the body and these problems translate into more and more inflammatory type problems and worse, some researchers have connected sugar with feeding cancer.

in medicine is constantly changing. This is an overview of some great stuff happening in medicine of late. My favorite subject shared a bit of the lime light. Take a look:

I know that I communicate this to every patient that comes in, but, I do want to make sure I underscore the importance of it--if you are on medication, your prescribing doctor is the only one who should be changing those doses.

Someone just told mer there is a recipe circulating with mushrooms in it. Mushrooms should never be eaten on these protocols and in my opinion, just should not be eaten period. They are a fungus, and I think cause the gastrointestinal tract to be imbalanced.

A patient of mine would like to share her story of the events that occured after botox injection. I often tell people to not get botox, but of course the lure of beauty is too tempting. I have studies in my computer filed away that I believe I have posted on this site a couple of years ago that include very very serious side effects of this injection as well.

Although, based on my decade and a half of experience in working with IC via the manipulation of gut bacteria, I do not agree with two fundamental points of this article, I do think it is an astounding one to read. It is full of some very good information about our internal eco system. I simply do not agree that the only way to manipulate that system bacterially is via antibiotics or transplantation.

Someone sent me this this morning on furthering the post on antibiotics the day before yesterday. It is quite sad, but, probably quite important to share. Often people will say things like they are worried about how I am going to feelknowing they took antibiotics. And, I am not one to judge anyone for doing anything. It is the person that makes the choice to do something that must measure the benefits against the potential problems that may arise from that choice.
