I want to say think you to all of you who contributed to giving me updates to the food guide list. I really appreciate it. As you all know, I dedicate a lot of my free time to making myself available to all of you so that I can help you as much as possible through this difficult journey. Consequently, I am very short on time. So, doing this helped me a lot. I would love to update this list more and more. So, if you have time, please don't hesitate to send me more product information.

In My dissertation I have articles about how candida can infiltrate the brain and become a part of major imbalances in the body. those articles are all great, I think. But, this one came in from a patient, and I thought it was a good one. I am not advocating any other approach, but, the understanding of the situation is interesting:

If kiefer is something you are adding into your diet-i love the goat, plain kiefer by Gateway. IT tastes great and is a great product. For some of you, who are more motivated, you may want to try and make it. Jeannette found this wonderful woman who sells kiefer starter kits, the link is below:) She has perfected making it after several attempts, so don't worry if your first attempt fails. But, please remember to talk to me about this before you do it, timing is everything when it comes to doing this kind of thing!

Someone gave me the article below-the first one and asked me to post on my feelings about honey. She said that reading things sometimes, like the reading she has done on honey makes her sometimes tempted to try embracing honey as a way of treating her IC.

For those of you who have been able to add in fruit-or those of you who are planning on cheating this holiday, don't forget to check out the sweets on the gentle products guide-things you can bake or buy that are safer than eating the full on sugary treats-healthier too!  Also, something I think is really yummy is taking an apple and cutting it and cooking it on the stove with butter until it is browned. It is really good and tastes like a fancy dessert:) Something you could even serve guests!

Don't forget my list of suggestions of supplements to have around the house in case you get sick. Ear Formula, Gan Mao Ling #2, Plum Flower Zhong Gan Ling, Formula 48, Formula 49, Pill Curing, Ding Chuan Tang, and Goldenseal. These are things that can be used in many many varying combinations depending on what kind of cold/flu symptoms you get. We have them in our house all the time. So, if you are not stocked, think about doing that before Winter vacation.

No matter what you are celebrating this time of year, it is a good time to reflect on the celebration of life. And, that traditionally comes most commonly in the form of food. When you are fighting a condition such as IC, that can be challenging until you are much further along into treatment. For some people, they may be a year and a half into treatment and still on list #1 or #2, while others who are just a few months into treatment are already deep into list #3.

Someone sent this article to me, I thin kit is a good one on some things that are wise to stay away from. I agree with this thinking: http://www.prevention.com/7foodsthatshouldnever/index.shtml

I am not an advocate of drinking at all-not for IC and not for anyone really. I think this article is a fantastic one that is well worth reading for those who have bought into this research and for those that think drinking is no big deal. Please read-especially now, before the holidays! http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2009/12/10/Can-Alcoho...
