As you all know, I try to post a variety of helpful information on this blog-medical and nonmedical. After all, getting back into balance and healthy is a mind/body prospect andone should be trying to work on both when dealing with chronic health challenges.
A kind soul sent this to me today, and I was very touched by it. It gave me some peacein my heart, which, I needed this week. So, to you who sent it, thank you for sharing it.
I wanted to in turn, share it with everyone:

Matia has been my doctor for almost two years and I am extremely grateful to her for guiding me through treatment and getting my health back. I'm not 100% symptom-free yet--I still need to take my herbs every day to feel well and I only recently got the green light to try list four foods, but my bladder feels great most of the time and I know that with her help I will eventually be able to maintain a state of wellness without any supplementation.

This last week and a half has been a little preoccupied. Many things going on. AndI will do more posts later today. But, I wanted to start the week and month out with an important question that only each of you can answer! I would like those of you who usethe forum chat room to place comments on this post regarding your experiences with it. Has it helped? IF so, how? Do my blogs help? How has this site provided each of you with support? And, how is that support different from ay support you have received elsewhere?

OK, this has nothing to do with IC. But, in a way it does, it has to do with everything. Loveis an important part of wellness and finding things to love in others that are unlike ourselvescan be so nurturing to one's "heart" and mind. This is a touching story I thought I wouldshare with all of you as a reprieve from a lot of heavy topics of late:

It has come to my attention that there are people talking on other sites about my diet and their protocols and giving impressions that may not be their intention. Please do not talk about your treatments or your protocols on other sites other than your feelings and your experiences. Thank you for your understanding.

This is a great article about the toxicity of Splenda. Notice the physiological changes that have been correlated with its chronic use!

For decades it has been standard procedure to give antibiotics to patients with mitral valveprolapse before dental procedures even as benign as cleaning. Approximately three years ago, the American Heart Association ruled that this practice was no longer prudent or necessary.

It just came to my attention that some pediatricians may be offering up hormones to prevent a child from starting her mense too early if she is considered to be too young to handle it emotionally!
I was shocked to hear this, and I plan on doing research regarding this issue. And, this subject brings up many other issues regarding hormones and our practice of trying to control them.
