Of course there is not one treatment for IC! No. Anyone who knows anything about IC knows how individual this condition is to each person that has it. REad my quote from Hippocrates above! "It is more important to know the person that has the disease than the disease the person has."

The reason I reposted the article on potassium yesterday in case you all did not flip through the comment section is because it is so important to underscore the basics of information.
I was speaking to a patient that said if I had not posted this a few weeks ago she would never have connected that she was using a water softener in her home water filtration system and in fact using that water to make coffee and hot cereal with.

Many people in the beginning stages of treatment cannot tolerate starches and or grains. While many consume them with no problems at all, many can not handle them.

To Whom It May Concern:

For those of you who dont know, your skin is your largest organ. Your skin is like a sponge, soaking up all that you put on it. In the early stages of my practice, I did not realize how much people wee being affected by their skin care products. As time passes, I began to connect the dots. Pain levels could be as different as night and day depending on product use.
In other words, a person could be doing everything correctly, but, using products that are upsetting their system. This in turn could be making pain levels rise.

I want to remind everyone and especially newcomers how much energy can effect your body. This is why we have to be so careful what we do when we are trying to get our body healthier and in better balance. For example, getting massages. Something as simple as a massage can make you feel many extraordinary things as the toxins are released and recirculated during a session of massage therapy.

I am always preaching the ill effects of sugar substitutes, but this is a different look at the problem:

Once a person has struggled through treatment and has been able to regain a healthybalance in his or her body, he or she may find themselves reflecting on the sacrificesand losses that were endured during the years of suffering.

Thank you everyone for attending March's support group meeting. Again there were some technical difficulties, but, we made it through.
We had a few new patients join in and a lot of great questions came up.
It is increasingly apparent I think through these meetings how wonderful support can be.
People find common threads between them in the desire for understanding this condition, and their own individual connection to it.
