Sometimes no matter how long you know someone, you think you are communicating and then you realize that you were not. I have a patient I have treated for a very long time only today to find out that she what she meant by, " Is it OK I am eating a lot of cucumbers?" that that meant she was eating a bag of cucumbers per day, as in 30 cucumbers! PER DAY! Also, she was not eating any starch with her meals. She was eating EITHER starch OR protein. But never together.

As many of you know, I often warn against Tilapia bc I have correlated a pain response with it and one's IC symptoms. I don't know why. I posted an article a month or two ago as one plausible reason. Here is another article, very interesting. Generally speaking I think symptomatic IC people should not eat this fish. So, if you are, stop please, and read this, it is very interesting: http://www.naturalnews.com/026006.html

Aside from the issue of whether or not you are able to eat certain foods off certain food lists, try to focus also on what else about the food matters. For example, if you are eating berries and you are having pain when you are eating them, maybe it isnt the berries! I get asked a lot if one has to eat organic in order to do well in treatment. The answer is, no, I dont think so. Is it better, yes, it is, bc organic is healthier. However, I think there is a lot of room for forgiveness in there if organic is not in your budget.

I have not had time to make sure that all of this is valid nor have I had time this week to look into all of the posts on the subject. I apologize. It has been a particularly busy week here at the clinic and in my personal life. But, in the event that it is all valid, I just received the following from a patient on this subject:

This week I had a patient come in that was referred by a doctor in UK! How amazing itis to have the pleasure of meeting and having the opportunity to help someone from far away. And, what a bigger pleasure that she was referred by an MD in a foreign country. It is warming to feel the hands of those who embrace the concept of bridgingthe gap between Western and Alternative forms of medicine.  I was heartened to hear that this is how this person came to me. The world is a smallerplace when people join hands.

If you are in this kind of treatment for your IC, the success is in the details. So, a person needs to pay attention to each small thing that they are putting in their mouth or putting on their skin.

The next support group meeting will be on the 4th of April at a new location. A friend has extended his office to us at no cost out of the kindness of his heart. He has a conferenceroom and sophisticated equipment which should work much better for us. I am so very grateful to him. His company is Matchcraft, in West Los Angeles, California. He is a wonderful human being and I am sure the good will come back his way!

I personally do not follow any exact faith. Mine is a personal interpretation of a combinationof many philosophies that guide me through my life. But, it occurred to me that if one wouldconsult his or her practitioners of faith, one might get answers such as: all things are meant to be as they are, as God designed them to be, ad we must accept thatthere is a higher purpose to all of this, or, God does not give us more than we can handle, or, there are karmic reasons for all that happens in life. But,
