Someone asked me to post something on vegetarianism and IC and why I do not treat vegetarians. I once was and have a deep respect for those who are vegetarian conceptually. I am a huganimal lover and myself have several animals.

ICAMA was a vision of mine that developed and evolved over my extensive clinical and academicyears of experience that spans nearly a decade and a half. IT is really now only at the beginning because there is so much more that I hope to bring to those with IC. It has always been my goal to bridge the gap between Western and alternative medicines, buteven more so since my deepened experience with IC.

I received a message from a patient I have not treated in ages in the UK. She wanted to communicate a thought to people in treatment currently.... " Ps for any of your current patients going through the programme and needing some cheering up.  I am taking part in the Moonwalk in London in May this year. 26 miles walking through the streets of London in aid of breast cancer.  I must be feeling good to undertake that.  So if I can do it then there is hope for everyone no matter what stage they are in their recovery.  And Matia none of this would have been possible without you!!"

Someone asked me to post about pregnancy and IC because there are two patients who have relapsed into symptoms since giving birth. So, here it goes: I cannot give out information on these people, but, I will hit some important points. Health is dynamic, always moving/changing. Our job as alternative practitioners is torestore healthy balance in the body. Balance helps the body be as healthy as it canpossibly be. This is why any holisitc practitioner teaches their views on diet and lifestyleas he or she treats the patient he or she is working on.

If anyone knows a woman in an abusive relationship, there is a great book that just came out, called Escaping Domestic Abuse-How Women Get Out and Stay Out. I am honored to say that this book was dedicated to me by the author, who is a brilliant, warm, and fantastically insightful woman who's sparkle is inly becoming greater with time. Thank you Jane for the dedication and for the contribution to so many women whosurely need to hear your words of wisdom!
