The other day at the meeting I suggested journaling, and I also recommended charting, which, may help you and help me be more clear. I wanted to suggest the following chart type, bc one of my patients uses this and it has been super helpful for her and me to be more clear about what is happening and what changes need to take place. This was actually contained in a chart with lines, but they became erased with the copy paste. It looks like a graph with writing within it.

We had a really nice first meeting. There were two newcomers(not patients) and one patient who has been in treatment for about 6 months now in addition to Jeanne Towsned (an old time patient) and myself. We sat around in a circle and the speaker phone was in the middle of us. We all could not hear eachother super well. There were about 6 people on the speak phone. One complaint that came up was that the people in the room fel uncomfortable to say too much bc of the long distance technical difficulties.

Many of you know how much I feel that environmental pollutants effect us, i.e. water, chemicals in foods, etc... This articel is unbelievable in how they are affecting us in changing our sexual development--especially of men. This is quite frightening. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/science/its-official-men-really-are-th...

We just finished tonight first ICAMA support group meeting, and I wanted to thank everyone for their participation. We had a few technical difficulties with the connection for the long distance patience, but we will work hard to improve the techy aspect each month we regroup. We had some suggestions from those who were here after the meeting came to a close. Some suggested we have topics dedicated to time.

AS all of you probably know, agave nectar is one natural sweetener that I recommend often. The following article argues that all of the great things about agave is hype and untrue. WOW! That is all I can say. I need to research a lot of the arguments within this very loaded article, but I can tell you, I recommend agave not only because of what I have read over the years, but much more because of what I have clinically observed. People who consume agave sweetened goodies do far better than sugar for certain and even the very healthy sweetener--honey! Much better, hands down.

While the advent of antibiotics has surely saved an imeassurable number of lives, their overuse has caused an enormous number of problems ranging from resistant strains of bacteria to a society of people with weakened immune systems and a higher percentage of chronic illness. Any one who has read any of my own research regarding IC knows that I relate antibiotic overuse as one cause of Interstitial Cystitis. Another intersting article for today's reading: http://www.naturalnews.com/024971.html

All of you in my treatment know how much importance I place upon eating enough and a variety of vegetables. There are lots of reasons why, vitamins, minerals, fiber. These are all things we all need for poper nutrition in combination with of course, other food groups. This is an interesting artcle about another reason to eat your vegetables. http://www.naturalnews.com/024915.html

Emotion! The reaction that a person has to thoughts, to words, to expression of emotion are so powerful. They are energy. They effect us each every day every moment of our lives. We are not even always aware of just how much they are affecting us. This morning on my way to work I was thinking about this topic and wanting to discuss specifically the healing effects of love particularly. Loving yourself, being in a loving realtionship(s), giving love. Giving love is another especially important way to feel and experieince love and healing. There are all kinds of ways to give love.

I have posted on this topic before, but I have had a request for more on this subject. As one goes through this kind of a protocol to addressing their IC, they will find that the vaginal tissue will respond along with the bladder sensations. Typically in the beginning of treatment, the vagina is often as painful as the the bladder, making sexual intercourse nearly if not completely impossible. Commonly, the vaginal tissue is dry, but, it may be simply painful and not dry. Orgasm can cause more pain, and, to make matters worse, the aggravation caused by sex may last for days.

to all of you here in the U.S.! Please celebrate with your hearts and in the joyousness of the holiday and don't allow yourself to feel deprived because you may not be ready for the pumkin pie. Pumkin pie does not create happiness other than for the moment the food hits your palate. And, then it is over in a second, but the pain that will persist will stay with you far longer! And, for those of you that are there and may indulge in healthy sweet eating, remember, use agave pr fruit and bake with whole grain healthy ingredients!
