Emotional Disorders And the Gut

OK, I thought I posted this last week, but I am looking and I don't see it. If I have missed it, I am sorry to have posted twice. But, this article is really important in correlating emotional disturbances with Gut ecology, which, all of you know by now how much I am in tune with. When I am posting these articles, I am not advocating different practitioner's approaches, but rather the basic philisophical content. And, of course, my dissertation is rich with informaiton on this subject because there is so much emotional affect in chronic disease stemming from the same etiological factors as the chronic disease it accompanies. Anyone dealing with emotional issues in their journey toward well being should find this interesting! http://www.scribd.com/doc/2520415/Healing-The-Mind-by-Dr-Natasha-Campbel...

I found this article extremely interesting.  I have read in the past that anything in the mother's system when a baby is born gets transferred to the baby--ie: yeast/thrush; and the baby's immune system interprets those substances as "ok" and never fights against them.  Do you believe this?  I was born with thrush and wonder if my body allows yeast to grow b/c it views it as "ok" since I was born with it?  I hope I am making sense. this article (as well as others)  I have read on candida says starches like potatoes and rice as well as all grains are absolute no no's when killing yeast.  I have eaten all these foods for years on this program.  Why are they allowed?  Is eating these things slowing progress?  This article also mentions that mozerella cheese is high in lactose and not to eat much.  I eat about two slices a day.  Is that wrong?

I do believe that the microbiological imblances of a mother are transfered to the fetus and then the baby is born with the mother's imblance. Although this is true, I do nt think that the body thinks of the yeast or whatever pathology is relevant to that baby as normal. And, although those foods you mentioned may be no nos on some people's list, I have found many people get better with acceptable potions of them. It is really the way the treatment is focused that matters. Not that various things need to be removed, they do, but I do not believe that potatoes, rice, or mozzarella cheese are amongst those foods. My diet plan is so strict and steady and the supplements are monitored so closely that that is really the more important aspect of how the body bounces back from its imbalances. So, I would not worry. And, to you specifically icnot4me, I think your issues are quite complex bc they started at birth, but clearly things are changing!
