Someone came in today and spoke of some discussions on line--I thought I would clarify:
1) Eggplant is list 4
2) Parmesean is end list 3 beg list 4
3) Please call Lynn regarding any questions on sunscreen so she can help you find what is best for you
4) If you are flying-Call Lynn so she can help you with do's and don'ts
Lastly and very important. I am not endorsing the western route as opposed to this route to treat IC when I said it is certainly an option. What I meant is that some people would find this route inconceivable because they view it as hocus pocus ( i dont even know how that is actaully spelled) and would therefor not consider altering their diet or changing their lifestyle in anyway. For those people and others in similar types of mind sets, the western route is a better option.

Oh my goodness?!? I never
Oh my goodness?!? I never realized eggplant is list 4!? I thought it was a non-starchy vegetable and not so sweet so might be ok. It's not on the list by the way. I have had it here and there not even realizing! I wonder why eggplant is so problematic, is it the nightshade part or has too much of a vitamin?
Thank you for clarifying Parmesan, what about goat cheese or feta (sheep's milk)?
Also, tomatillos came up last week for me and I wonder if anyone else can comment on his/her experience with them? I am on list 2, but with tomatoes (gratefully). Tomatillos seem fine for me, but they are a fruit and they are a little sweeter than a tomato, so maybe they should be added to list 3? Just curious if anyone has tried them and had a reaction. They are great for making a roasted tomatillo pesto to use as a salad dressing or as a sauce over meat and fish, or even mixed in with some warm rice. Delicious and tangy!
Thanks Matia!
eggplant!
Whoa-Matia this used to be list 2! Circa 3 years ago. When did it change?
eggplant
is a problem for a lot of people. goat is ok list w as is mild sheeps feta.
By list w, I think you meant
By list w, I think you meant list 2? Or is it 3? Thanks!
oops
typically end list 2 mid list 3 depending on the person. I individualize this.
Hi flygirlsam, I did recently
Hi flygirlsam,
I did recently try tomatillos, they were organic from trader joes and tasted so juicy and just like how organic tomatoes should taste like :) It wasn't a major reaction, but i did realize some of my symptoms increase afterwards and thought about it. I haven't had them since, but glad you brought it up. As for eggplants, i love them as vegetable, it's a big part of our cultural cuisine, and have been eating them over my rice and a bit of ground beef!!! I know they are not the best for a veggie, i've heard they contain nicotine, and overeating can cause fertility issues.
