Read the labels on your make-up

I have not been reading labels on my make-up by Maybelline.   For the last few weeks, I had been using Prestige Lip liner on my entire lip area.  Then I switched to Maybelinne's lip liner and felt worse. Today, I found out that the first ingredient in their lipliner is palm oil (coconut)!  If you are still suffering from bladder pain, I would highly advise reading the labels on all of your make-up.  Lipsticks and liners are especially important because you ingest some of them.   I would also read the labels on your foundations because they cover so much skin.  I hope this helps someone.

Is there a concise list somewhere that says what ingredients we should be avoiding?

Matia has put a few blogs up on the topic.  I think the most improtant things to avoid are soy, coconut, & Vit E.  She is not a big fan of Dimethicone but it seems to be in most foundations.  Many people like bare minerals.

Do you know anything about DHC cosmetics/skin care etc?

If Vitamin E is at the end of the list of ingredients, the product only contains trace amounts.  Ideally, you can avoid it.  If not, run the ingredient list by Matia.

Soy seems to be in a lot of things too.

i used to use dove body soap from costco, and loved its richness. Matia realized it had soy in it so she asked me to stop using it.
I use bomamed soap now, but it's so watery i waste a lot of it showering or shaving.
