I wish I had not listened to each Western Dr & Nurse who told me, 'dont worry' when I asked if it was safe to be on BC for so long (4 years). My reason was not to prevent pregancy, however, to control heavy bleeding.
This is a good read and a sure thing I will pass along to anyone who is willing to hear before they end up with IC, like I have. I firmly believe that BC attributed to me getting IC (which I also was diagnosed with endo, pssioriassis, migraines, depression) to name only a few... There were certainly other factors but being on this surely didnt help.
May 2012 be a great year of health and happiness for everyone. How are people doing at the moment, particualrly people who started in the autumn, and who are now at the 3-4 month mark. I'd love to hear of progress and what it's been like for you.
Ok so I have been in treatment for over a year now. I started seeing progress very quickly into treatment when I was on the diet and then I started taking the herbs and noticed a lot more set backs. I am a " all or nothing" type person. I am like that with school, climbing, running, work and also my health. I have always been really hard on myself and when I don't perform exactly how I want to I get mad at myself and push myself harder until I do. This type of mind set has worked for gaining success for all of my goals except for getting my body back into balance and being healthy.
Wondering if anyone lately has read this book? I learned about it here on this site from prior patients who raved about this. This book speaks about what our bodies are going through as its detoxing/die-off symptoms. I just ordered the copy from amazon and looking forward to reading this. I will post thoughts later, figured I would share now to see if anyone has read it and what your thoughts on it are. One other book which Dr. B told me is Pasteur's Way. That'll be my next book purchase after I read this one.
So I started to read up on leaky gut syndrome and I feel like I have all of the symptoms exactly. I do have bladder symptoms also. I know that they are very similar and either way Dr. B's treatment protocol works for healing both. I just wanted to see how many other people have all of those symptoms too or just the bladder symtpoms?
Do probiotics actually repopulate the gut with the beneficial bacteria or do they do something else? Once the beneficial bacteria have been killed (for example, with antibiotics), are they able to be reinstated via probiotics? Any info. on this would be much appreciated.
Hi Ladies, With the New Year coming in... I am sure there will be sauerkraut offered this next week. Any idea what list this falls on? I am on list 3/4.
I know it's only been two weeks but I am struggling with my expectations - I really have no idea what to expect, what will happen, etc.. I feel lost, especially on the days when the bladder pain is bad.I think I can see some improvements but when the flare arrives, I wonder if I am imagining it all. Can anyone please enlighten me a to what to expect in the first few weeks? How did you keep the hope alive? How did you actually get through it? What did you think????
Me again, this time inquiring about Hair Color. During my last appt with Dr. B, she not only approved me to start List 2, but also OK'd me to get my hair colored. Its been 7 months and my grays are out of control. My issue is that even though I know Naturtint is appoved to use, I have major dry scalp but more so, really really bad patch of psiorriasis. Dr. B told me that this is common for IC patients. My concern is..
