Hi! I'm in the process of arranging to see Dr B and have been on list 1 of the diet for the last week and a half. As of now I am taking no medications for IC, however after intercourse I take one dose of a herbal mixture from whole foods that I use to prevent UTIs. It seems to work which is why I'm scared to stop using it. It's a combination of UVA ursi, corn silk, Oregon grape root, fresh cleavers herb and hydrangea root. I don't even know what some of those are but I've heard uva ursi may not be good for IC and could irritate bladder. Also, with this tincture I take a tsp.
I am looking for that place anywhere in the world. Is it easy to get organic or natural produce and meat, eggs where you live or traveled? Healthy milk in abundance, farmers markets on weekends, healthy air.
Theoretically, I can move to that place. I was looking at Australia, New Zealand with beautiful beaches for a change. Food is one of priorities on my list.
Since having young kids we were very rarely going to movies. We used to love to eat out!! Since restaurants are a big pain, my husband and I are going to more movies.
I make a big batch of sugar-free Kamut puffs, sauteed in butter till it gets well-coated and a bit browned with a generous sprinkle of salt, and sneak it in a paper bag. That way I have my popcorn too! ( I try to eat this close to after dinner because we are supposed to eat with protien-or I bring a slice of cheese, a small serving of yogurt or hard-boiled egg and a few veggie sticks with me)

Hi All, today is my 4 month anniversary of treatment. It seemed like a decent time to check in. I hope maybe others will check in too, as it is always nice to hear other's inventory/assessment.
Symptoms when I started:
Frequency: 2-3x per hour at worst. 2 hours at best.
Urge: Lots of urge. Urge on a scale of 3-4 out of 10 when I walked or when I drove in the car.
Pressure: around rectum and bladder.
Nighttime frequency: 1-2 x per night.
Moderate anxiety and mild depression, especially at night.
Since she says that she looks at the topics but not the message, I just couldn't help posting. How many clinet emails has this amazing person answered promptly in the last year? Please feel free to add to Dr. B gratitude list.
I also wanted to say that it is a bit lonely feeling like I am the only one on this forum who can't walk much and it helps me when you guys tell me that you do think this is IC related and I am not a unique case (we do have that fear don't we), assuming that is what you believe.
