Hi! I've been on list 1 of the diet for 3 weeks now, while I wait for my appointment in April to see Dr.Brizman. I just have a few questions -
Is it normal to have an upset stomach for the first while on the diet? I went from only eating chicken for many, many years to eating red meat as well, so I'm guessing it's an ajustment to that and the fact that my whole diet has changed so much? My stomach isn't terrible, but definitely gassy and I alternate between a bit of diarrhea/constipation (sorry!). Does this sound normal?
Almost didn't post tonight because I got sleepy but I decided,I didn't want to fall off the wagon and not do a post every day for 30 days.
tonight I decided that I need an affirmation to direct the energy in a positive direction. So I chose "I know that my knees are going to get better, I just don't know when."
Hi everyone. My family will be moving across the country in the next few weeks, and I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions for going on a road trip with IC. I'll be on the road for 4 days. I'm almost 18 months into treatment and have been on shorter road trips, but nothing as long or as stressful as this one (moving is always stressful.). Does anyone spend a lot of time in the car? Any cushion recommendations or other tips for travelling or living out of hotel rooms? Thanks!
Rough day. Knees were absoluetly awful today. Dr. B said that the GML and ear might cause this. Choice between sinuses and knees. Struggled through the day acting normall at work. Alarm anxiety sirens going off in gut. Came home and hugged 15 year old son and husband, confessing my fears. Fell into a deep sleep for 1.5 hours. Up eating cold dinner and going back to old nonsinus protocl because I can't reach Dr. B. Holding on...
Today I woke up to zero bladder pain. It was amazing and I had high hopes that the day would continue on that path, but then I had another health issue- swelling in my right foot and ankle due to wearing an ace bandage too tight on my knee. The doctors were concerned that I had a blood clot so I had to go do an ultrasound. As I sat in the ultrasound office, I began to ask myself, "when and where will the pain and health issues end?".
Yesterday and the day before were pretty good because I decided that I was going to have a life and do some normal things that involve mobility.
it felt great but today it is the trifecta: bladder burn, knees in a lot of pain and considerable sinus congestion that makes me feel that I am not really in this world but under glass or water or something.
The trifecta of painful areas makes it hard to feel upbeat so I suppose it is time to hit the Buddhist texts. I am reading stuff on acceptance by Tara Brach. I need to touch down with that tonight.
This is probably something I should know but I'm wondering if anyone can shed some light on what RP (Rehmaniae Peonniae) actually does to help the bladder? I know not everyone is on this formula but for those that are I'd love to hear any info you have and also curious to hear at what point Dr B took this out of your protocol and why?
