In my dissertation there is a theory of "compensation" that I discuss where the body produces more fluids (in many forms) to protect the body from the damages that have occurred over time. Cholesterol is one example of such fluids and is a reason why many people with chronic problems have high cholesterol. And, I argue that often it is this dynamic that elevates cholesterol rather than a bad diet. I just found this page, which, discusses this concept from a different point of view-I stumbled upon it this morning. It shows a few books with authors who appear to have like-minded opinions.

I always recommend sea salt and not table salt for these reasons. I have not compared himilayan sea salt to other sources of sea salt, but, this article is a great one on the issue of table salt vs. sea salt.http://products.mercola.com/himalayan-salt/

Many of you know that I recommend not using standard hair dye products due to toxins in these products, and alternatively I recommend the ones in the health food stores. I have used many of them for years as have many of my patients over time-all with great results. I have not observed any negative effects from these products. However, recently I have had a situation with one patient who also had used a particular color of Naturtint and then changed to a different color and it seemed to have made her unwell.

I think I have posted on this subject more than most people want to read on it, but, this is yet again-a really nice article coming from another point of view. This is the great thing about research-there is always another view:) But, really, read this! It is short, but to the point, offering some really nice insight. http://www.economist.com/node/16740669

Please be careful to not take probiotics differently than how I have explained. For example, if I have asked you to combine them with a formula or away from a formula, this is really important in terms of not activating your pain levels. An easy mistake-very common, and it just happened again today
is buying powder instead of caps. If the form changed, the effects can change. This is true of everything!

It has been researched over the years that SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome) may be linked to mattress toxins. Chronic illness and mattress toxins have also been connected. I am not suggesting that mattress toxins are the cause of IC, but, every added toxin in your direct environment can be a contributing factor in your unwellness. This is an interesting link: http://www.chem-tox.com/guest/guestbook.html

Absorbs everything you put on it. So what you put on your skin is like what you put in your mouth. Don't expose it to anything you wouldn't eat! When you are cleaning your house and using products, even natural ones, wear gloves, and open the windows for good ventilation!
