Antibiotics-Life Saving-Life Taking

There are times when antibiotics are a matter of life and death. I am very grateful that we have them for that reason. I for one can testify to being saved by them on more than one occasion in my life. I am however, also one that can say that they nearly destroyed me, because I did not know or understand, like so many people, that they are widely overly prescribed and given in so many circumstances they should not be.

IN so many cases, antibiotics can be avoided and should be avoided. People simply have not been educated in how to take these steps or measures. Confidence in such things comes from being educated. This is part of what my goal is in the treatment of my patients-education in long-term care.

There are some antibiotics that are worse than others. This article was just sent to me, and I think it is very worth while sharing it. I have to warn-there is certain terminology within this article I do not agree with because I do think the body can regain its balance and health with the right kind of treatment.

Thank you Matia. Great article and very scarry information. Looking back at my past, I used to get sick often (even a few bladder infactions when i was little) and was always right away treated with antibiotics.  As a grown-up, i just accepted at some point that this was my faith, maybe some punishment for sexuality. Even though i knew antibiotics were bad for me, i didn't know how else to treat myself or prevent. I used to complain that i was using antibiotics like candy. How little i knew!! We are at a time, where these things are being questioned and researched, and with new and scarry information coming out like this, i know i'd do anything in the future if i had kids, to prevent them from my faith. Is it accepting faith or being optimistic, but i may still be lucky that the way it hurt me, there is hope still. All thanks to you. My heart goes out to people who are suffering from this and are still following western medicine to help them or have no access to you. Thank you Matia, for giving us hope.

This is so fascinating.  I got so ill when I started to take antibiotics for my 'bladder infection' and that's when this whole thing started for me.  I have to say that if my children have an ear infection or tonsillitis the docs are so quick to prescribe antibiotics (in fact my daughter has today been telling me that her ears feel full).  What are we supposed to do in this situation?  I feel like I'll be poisoning them if I give them antibiotics, but neither do I want them to suffer through an ear infection!  Any ideas anyone?  I definitely have a renewed respect for the power of these drugs.

I was fortunate to have taken my 10 year old daughter with me when I went to see Matia. She has been taking Chinese herbs / supplements since. When she first started treatment she got a bad case of step throat/ear infections. She hasn't taken any antibiotics for any of it. Matia got her thru it all. I have a 6 year old son which I take to a local Chinese herbalist. He was having colds/sinus infections. Again they have all been cleared with herbs. I also have them on the NATREN probiotics. This has helped to keep them regular and healthier in general. Tammy
