Cholesterol

This is a nice article by Dr. Mercola regarding Statin-a kind of drug that it seems many MDs agree is overly prescribed. High cholesterol is more often than not the result of chronic unwellness rather than diet. This is not something that will be discussed with you by your MD in most cases. Over the years, I have seen cholesterol levels dive in many of my patients without having to do anything other than treat the IC. This is not always true, but it is often true. As always, I do not recommend everything in this article, but rather am interested in the concepts.

In what cases do you advice taking red yeast rice extract? I read that red yeast rice extract has a similar compound in it to a statin drug, and acts like a statin drug in the body.

I dont advise it bc it is a yeast. Although it works, there are other things that work, so, this is not something that i usually recommend.

Is this something you use for non-IC patients bc I could have sworn I saw it sold in the clinic....??

Boaz had made it available for some of his patients.
