Coincidence?

I had a conversation yesterday with a patient. Quite interesting. She is a patient who has done really well over her time with me. Her intense burning has been chipped away at over time and she has managed no burning tp quite low levels depsite her continued sweet eating. If she would be able to stop it-she would not have any incidence of even low levels here and there that she has. However, that is not what is interesting.

What I found pretty incredible yesterday was that she'd been having some fairly severe gall bladder problems-to the point of the doctors wanting to remove her GB. Coincidentally (?) she also had issues with uterine fibroids. She wants to get pregnant and the location of the fibroids would inhibit her ability to get pregnant. So, they went in to surgically remove the fibroids. When they went in, they found uteriine polyps. They could not remove the fibroids because of they delicate location. But, they did remove the polyps. None of that is what was fascinating. What was really incredible is, that after they performed the surgery forremoving the polyps, her GB pain disappeared. OK, even I, a person who strongly subscribes to the belief in the manipulation of energy kind of hesitated. But when I think about it-that area around the genitalia and uterus have everything to do with the "Liver" energy. In Chinese medicine the Liver and Gall Bladder go hand in hand energetically. I believe the polyps that were stagnating the nergy in that area were impeding the energetic flow and effecting the organ and meridian system around the area of the GB and the surgery facilitated movement.

There really is not any Western explanation that makes sense here-but using CM, one could draw this correlation. I thought I would share as this is a great story.

Are the issues in this patient's uterus connected to her burning symptom?  How is it she has managed to lower the intensity of the burning while still consuming sugar? Thanks.

The uterus/pelvic cavity and genitalia are very realted to the Liver in Chinese medicine. My dissertation correlates how Compensatory reactions in chronic illness and inflammation create the body's propensity towards creating fibroids, cysts, an elevation in cholesterol and more. So, yes there IS a connection. But, what is really interesting to me is that the removal of these uterine cysts seemed to erase the Liver/GB pain. That I have not seen before, and it is remarkable. This marks an example of how sometimes treating the issue in the body is less important than treating the energetic connections.

As for the sugar- this is unusual. However, I do think that she worked on this through her time with me and widdled away at the sugar off and on. So, this made her process less perfect than it should have been, hence improvement in many areas but not to the degree I would have liked. I would have preferred her cysts had disappeared along with the burning. I think this would have happened had she been more strict. But, overall, yes, she is light years from where she was when she started. The overall picture is a good one.

Oh gosh, one organ removed only to have the same symptoms. Makes me wonder what else is going on? Ugh! Frustrating!!! Glad though to hear this patient has found relief!
