Emotional Detox

The subject came up a couple of times yesterday--people feeling out of control emotionally, or, experiencing old thoughts and feelings that they could even barely remember ever having felt that caught them by surprise.

The human body in all of its infinite wonder I think perhaps possesses a way of storing emotions on a cellular level and as the body is being slowly rebalanced and cleaned out, these old storage places open up and release. This can make you feel you are going crazy for sure. But, know, that this is not the case. It is very common to experience this kind of thing, and if it does happen to you, simply try and go with it--get therapy, practice a lot of self-reflection, talk to a loved one, take walks--do whatever it takes to work on sorting these feelings and letting them go. It is important to do this if it comes up for you in treatment.

If this comes up for you just know, it is a part of your body trying to regain it's balance and you are not losing your faculties.

Thanks for this. I have had some strange memories pop absolutely out of nowhere like they had been hiding under a rock that I suddenly pried open. I have had bouts of anger (the body's attempt to cope with stagnation you've told me). This is going to sound odd, but I have even had the same strange, random memories pop into my head several times when I was holding it at a certain angle (as in, putting on makeup in the mirror). I have no idea what this means. I have had occassional feelings of deja vu which I have intuitively thought is something that needs to resolve-- a reminder that I have more healing to do.

If we don't excel at health, the only other option is disease.
