From The Heart

I want to say that today I was deeply touched and wanted to share why.

So often we all find ourselves, I am sure, being hurt by the dissapointment caused by unmet expectations. I know I myself have endured an incredible amount of disbelief and dissapointment in many situations and people I believed in over the past few years. But, as much as that is true, there are these moments of light that come from the most unexpected places and people that make up for all of those darker experiences.

These moments often come in conversation, or emails, or something simple acts that sometimes noone even knows that you noticed. Today, I could not help but notice. A new patient came from another country. And, I am certain she struggled to get here and that the sacrafice was quite large. And right behind her came another patient whom, I didn't know had opened her home to this woman from far away-someone she does not even know, to stay for the time she is here in Los Angeles. and, if that wasn't incredible enough, I found out another patients donated a large amount of money for her to buy her supplements with becuase she heard that this young woman was struggling to get here. And she asked that her name remain anonymous, which, is really even more incredible.

I have to tell you--that I am in awe when things like this happen, of the grace and kindness that comes from people just being human. So few of us are anymore. So few people take a moment to notice what someone else needs.

Not everyone can do these things, so don't get me wrong, I am not suggesting that everyone should be doing anything so generous. I just wanted to take one moment to acknowledge two incredible acts of kindness.

This made my entire day and touched my heart in a profound way.

Thank you both for what you did to make a huge difference in a young girl's life! That was truly something!

Dr, B - Thank you so much for the update.  I wondered how her appt with you went yesterday and am happy to hear this news.  There was a blog about her trip coming up a few weeks ago.  Seeing how truly amazing all the ladies here have been supportive of her coming from so far away, from opening up your home (Mrs, A - THANK YOU!) and now from hearing of donating to help with the supplements (THANK YOU!), it truly is a miracle and as I said before, God's work in motion.
I hope her stay here this week is filled with good and positive memories.  You are on the right path, Aya, and have alot of support from all the wonderful ladies on this site.
Thinking of you and I know that your stay with Mrs. A and her family this week will be wonderful.

All I can say is that I was totally amazed and speechless. That week was surely demanding, but wonderful. And I will do my best to get better!

It was so wonderful when I found Icama.

I was completely lost researching by myself and scared by another IC sites....people taking all those meds and not getting any better...it was just hopeless...  then I spoke privately with lots of your patients here in the UK and others from USA and the feedback was amazing, all were so encouraging and positive...I felt very supported.... They were honestly generous with their time and very lovely, that truly contributed to my decision to flight from LDN to LA even though I was in a really poor state. Thanks god I made the decision.. I chat with the UK patients on a regular basis and we've met for lunch on different occasions, I really think of them as friends. Ain't amazing? It makes me feel saver to know I can always call them or email for help... Humans we all need each other and it fills my heart with joy when truly generous acts happens. I feel this site and the work you do creates the good energy and vibes between people, it makes you want to help, share and be better, we all have been there.

I'm so glad that Aya finally travelled thanks to generosity from the Icama ladies. Is just amazing.

In the summer, I was agonizing about whether to go to a wedding where I needed to travel. Then I realized I was running out of Goldenseal so I figured going to the wedding was really not ging to happenl. One of your patients in LA picked some up for me and mailed it overnight and encouraged me to go to the wedding. So much kindness.
