its Natural so It's Safe

No, not always! I repeatedly run into this topic of discussion with patients who tell me they switched their products to health food store replacements so they are safe to use.

It is really important to understand just because something is natural soe not mean it is safe. If you ingest certain plants, they can kill you for example. This is an extremem example, but, it is an importan one to make. More benign negative reactions can occur in people ingesting ingredients or putting them on their skin that are not apprpopraite to them at that point in time.

A great every day example is vitamin E. This very healthful vitamin is often used as a preservative in many naturally formulated products. But, this very healthful vitamin at the same time may cause temendous symptoms in someone having IC. Sof for someone in this condition, it isn't wise until they are far progressed into this kind of a treatment.

Other healthful ingredients such as cocconut and shea butter will also cause alot of symptoms unless combined appropraitely with other ingredients that will prevent their side effects. These are just two of many exmaples that may illustrate to you that you need to be careful what you use.

Also, of the ingredients I explain to stay away from, this means orally and topically. When you put things on your skin, it is like you put them in your mouth. The side effect is the same!

So please remember this. Things will flow better. I run into this situation repeatedly and lots of pain has been caused as a consequence of this misunderstanding.

I hope this helps.
