One Happy Story

My journey to health with Dr Matia Brizman:

I had suffered bouts of UTIs since I was 18 years old. Then, aged 36 (2007) I developed symptoms of interstitial cystitis. A urologist recommended a cystoscopy to try and 'see' the state of my bladder and also, apparently to help ease the pain. I rejected the cystoscopy and flew to LA (from Europe) to see Matia. I was, BTW, v depressed by my condition.

Matia identified that my issues stemmed from over use of antibiotics, using the pill (to treat acne) and a poor diet. So, I flew back home and commenced Matia's treatment (diet and supplements). Over the next few months I lost an awful lot of weight (I looked very thin!), and it took 8 months before I felt my symptoms subside. Then, over the next couple of years my symptoms pretty much disappeared. Matia moved me up the diet lists quite quickly and I now can eat anything on the lists, and yes, even things off the list. However, eating things 'off' the recommended lists makes me feel poorly in other ways (than bladder pain), such as fatigue, poor concentration and sometimes anxiety. So, I am motivated still to stay on the diet, but not because of bladder pain (which I never thought would happen).

In 2010 I fell pregnant. 10 years before I had suffered a series of miscarriages so had pretty much given up the hope of having a child. When I found out I was pregnant, I was over come with anxiety as I expected the imminent miscarriage to occur. I told Matia about my misgivings which she immediately dismissed (v kindly) and reminded me that my body was quite different to the one 10 years ago. Well, 4 1/2 years on (2015) and I have a healthy little boy called Benjamin. The pregnancy went VERY smoothly - no issues at all. Clearly my hormonal system was operating very differently since Matia's treatment.

I lead a normal symptom free life and it is only due to Matia's treatment. My life would have taken a very different road, I'm convinced, had I not embraced Matia's program.

As a parent I've incorporated aspects of what I learnt about health., mental and physical, through Matia's treatment. Also I've managed to hold down a job and have been studying part time for a degree in psychology. None of these would have been possible without regaining my health.
