Part II on Teeth

From Dr. Raymond Silkman, whom I have the utmost respect for as a dentist:

I would agree with the outlined comments in certain circumstances, but not all. It is true that many root canal treatments are performed by individuals without the necessary skills or materials or both, during which infected tissue is inadequately removed or entirely left in the root system, thereby causing a low grade leakage of bacterial endotoxins. However some teeth being treated properly would likely not be a liability to the patient's health, if all of the parameters necessary are followed up properly. This is not a black and white issue, as teeth cannot indiscriminately be removed from one's mouth, the consequences for lost teeth can have other devastating effects.

The choices given on the website do not describe the pros/cons of the tooth replacement options as there are many issues associated with each of those tooth replacement options.
I agree that dentistry performed must be minimalistic and conservative in order to avoid the need for RCT's, and that's a whole other issue.
Thanks for asking for my opinion, and I hope this helps.

Thank you for providing this to us. My younger brother just finished his third root canal, and I had sent him that article. He was very worried. So this helps a lot.
