The Power Of Small

I had an interesting conversation come up with someone the other day and I wanted to share it. She said it is hard for her to believe that such a tiny amount of something is doing anything.

As many of you know, I often will micro-dose. The reason I do this is because the body has such a difficult time with accepting certain substances into it without rejecting it. This is a very big part of IC as it is and as we try to rebablnce the body in this severly imbalanced condition, it is no different, and perhaps even harder.

The chaleenge with IC is this hypersensitivity to everything, making it almost imposssible to eat without reaction, or impossible to be exposed to certain smells, or products without reacting. However, this also works the other way. When given something medicinally--one will react with very very tiny amounts.

What another non-IC person would feel at a certain dose, a person having IC will feel at a much smaller dose. My methodology in applying this thinking is to try and work with what the state of the body is and working with it instead of against it. This really does work, because with time, it's as if the body says, "oh, wait a minute, this stuff isn't so bad, I am OK with this!." And, then it actually starts to accept that substance and run with it, benefitting greatly from it''s effects.

Dosing is not that important really, except in how it relates to the present state of your own particular body. When you see a change from what we have done, this is an indicator that your body "felt it".

So, when you are taking that miniscule dose of something today, think about your body loving every molecule it is getting from it, and saying, "thank you, for not giving me more than I can handle".

Thank you so much for this! I am taking a very small amount of something very beneficial for me right now so it was nice to read. My bladder really likes this very small amount and I have had a few very good days and am thankful. I look forward to tolerating more but can trust that I have enough for now.

If we don't excel at health, the only other option is disease.

Hi dr. M. Does that also mean that our progress can be tilted my even small stress levels?

Sorry, do you mean tilted-in that, set back, or ...? I am not clear on your question.
